I don't like to drop shows this early, but Arte has clearly shown me that I'm nowhere near the target demographic for such a show. I love the setting (Florence is my favourite place in the world), and the premise isn't bad in theory, but in the two episodes I have seen Arte has continuously shoved it's central theme down the throat of the viewer to the extent that it hinders the show's ability to create anything else of value. This is much more suited to a young audience that need to learn lessons of inclusiveness and self-empowerment.
Pretty much agree with you there. I like the whole premise and it could work a lot better with stronger writing, but the way it is now is just too simplistic and lacking in finesse. Also some events just don't seem to have the proper tone or impact that I would expect.
I am just too much of a completionist to drop it :/
