It's the same as when people like you but I don't really like you personally.
It's personal taste, everyone has their personal one.
You like the others better? good for you.
There are plenty enough that like Solo Leveling? good for them.
I don't understand why such questions are made when it is plain obvious as to why such things are.
its not like i dont like solo leveling i like it that i finished the novel twice but I cant understand that why it is liked this much.I can only think it's liked cus of art.Because there's like more than enough of this story out here
Similar art and same build-up / genre doesn't actually mean it is similar if not the same to any other manga out there.
It's the characters, the underlying story, the tiny details itself that changes the whole experience of a manga/novel.
And once again, even if there are plenty of manga's/novels out there that is similar to SL doesn't mean SL can't be better in the eyes of certain people (or in this case a large group of people).
Just because you don't like SL as much as the others out there doesn't mean other people will share your same opinion about that. that's called personal opinion, and gladly it isn't the same for everyone, otherwise the world would be a boring place.
who said I didnt like solo leveling im just asking for a proper answer to why it is so popular. What made it so populer but everyone answering me like you
Just because there are other manga's/novels with the same kind of story / art doesn't mean they are better, that's your opinion.
Many others including myself like SL more.
On top of that I explained as to why SL was different from the other manga's/novels, and as to why it would be better or is better in the eyes of other people, but instead you saw it as an attack.
Kinda looks like to me that you're just out to start some kind of beef, or trying to bring down SL for whatever reason just because you don't like it.
actually i was a sl fan but i started to hate cus of the fandom im asking this question to sl fans that i can find and no one actually tried to answers they just sweared or said things that u said

Cultivation novels, or XanXia as they're also often called, have been around far longer than SL. They generally follow the same story structures and tropes, so much so that their overuse is being memed on Reddit. Examples would be his shadow army, the power tiers (and going beyond those), the Dong-Su Hwang situation, his helper Jin-Ho Yoo and the strife between South Korea and Japan. Interestingly enough the Korean ones tend to gravitate more towards gaming-esque worlds whereas the Chinese ones are almost always fantasy.
I will admit that Solo Leveling is definitely among the better ones because its foundations are solid and it hasn't made any of the main mistakes yet other novels tend to make. Its art is also very good compared to the rest.
Here are the ones I've been reading so far, both to back up my claims and if you happen to be interested. Also on r/noveltranslations you can find hundreds of actual webnovels, which tend to be the source material for a lot of these manhwa, translated from Japanese, Korean and especially Chinese.

For me at least, it really is the art. The proportions are absolute goals. As an artist/graphic designer/I-draw-things person, I am absolutely green with envy over the author's anatomy, command of lighting and staging, and even creature design to some extent. It's rare to see such svelte curves to bodies in anime art, because usually they're significantly more exaggerated.
There's probably more I could rant about with the art, but the fact remains that I'm absolutely charmed by it.
As far as story goes, I do know it's been "done before" to some extent, but just because it's been done doesn't mean it's been done well, or in a way that I appreciate in particular. That's not to say that Solo Leveling is the epitome of its kind — it probably isn't — but it is an extremely solid and satisfying offering if nothing else.
Overall, I rate the story an 8/10 and the art a 10/10. It's not perfect, but it's just pretty damn awesome by my personal standards. ovo
Your opinions may differ, but you just have to understand that you must be looking for something else that Solo Leveling isn't offering you. When everyone around me raved about KonoSuba, I fell in love with Hoozuki no Reitetsu instead, because my sense of humor is different, as an example. So while I can't tell you why you in particular do not enjoy Solo Leveling, I can tell you why I liked it. <3
it was one of the only things ive dropped after reading just a couple of chapters
It's alright ig. I would've enjoyed it more if it had a better supporting cast though. Apart from Jin-Woo, all other characters are lame and irrelevant. Storyline is alright too, not much variety in the different arcs and kinda let me down here.
Loved the art, fight sequences and pure badassery though!!

I just recently started Solo Leveling, and loved it. Already caught up to it, and want more! Everything from the plot to the pacing to the illustration is perfect in my opinion. The MC is more badass than the villains lol.
What did you guys think? What was your favourite part about it? (Also any recommendations for manga similar to it?)
Igris! LOL He's my favorite of the shadows.
Him aside I like the characters, story, and of the course the art. The battle scenes are especially flashy and are made even more so as Jin-Woo gets more and more skills and Shadows.
I was so excited to learn that it's being brought over in physical form. I went out the same day that I learned about it to buy the first volume. <3
