[Spoilers] pet - Episode 1 Discussion
it's only been one episode and im already confused by what's going on lmao
It's a weird anime,and very memeable. But from what i understand it's a controlling kinda stuff,drugs? Idk,it seems interesting and im gonna keep watching it. The imagination parts were really funny,like the headache stuff and licking stuff,things that are now burried in my memory.
It's psychic (?) powers, not drugs. The psychics can get into other people's heads, read their mind, make them see things that aren't real. The little kid in the beginning had those powers but couldn't control them, and as a result was overwhelmed and drowning in his mother's mind. Also that same kid is now grown up and working for the suit guy - you can recognize him by the scar on his forehead. Besides the kid, there're two other young psychics (the 'gay' lodgers) working for the man.
I've seen lots of complaints on other sites but I actually really loved it, it was interesting and unexpected.
I have no idea what the actual plot is so far but I definitely want to keep watching to find out.
I definitely enjoyed and i'm excited for more.However, im still super confused by what's happening in the story lol
I rambled like mad but I hope this helps a little, I can't recall everything but this is my best guess.
From how I saw it, the bar owner and his best friend saw something or stole money they shouldn't have, not sure which actually caused the initial brainwashing. Higher up the food chain told the main boss we see to just wipe their memory bc easy. Bar owner actually does forget but his best friend ends up remembering and tries to get bar owner to remember as well, which ends in him being brainwashed into killing himself (I think the best friend was killed because he actually went through with his threat while bar owner didn't). Bar owner messes up his job and winds up finding out what actually happened to his friend, which causes him to try the exact same threat as his best friend. The the two young guys were planted by the boss to find out what information he had and they end up brainwashing him again, I assume bc it's less of a hassle since he's not a threat and bar owner takes to brainwashing well. Young guys move on bc their job is done, they were specially called in for this and the memories of them being there a long time were probably planted so he'd trust them enough to break (the crazy scene was them trying to break him) and blab what he knew. Story at the start was the boss's friend/coworker saving the (now) blonde subordinate (not the crushers, the guy who drove them at the end) as a child from his own mind. I guess all the psychic's hearts are sensitive to other people's and bc the kid's mother's heart was so messed up, it affected him from birth...At least, that's what I got from the episode.
it's difficult to say anything after 1st ep, although it starter really interesting. I'm gonna keep watching it and see what the main plot is about. I didn't read the description bc it always spoils the best what happens in very first episodes, so I'll just give it a chance even though I'm v confused too!
