This thread comes a bit late but I haven't found one except the one that asks for a favorite scene, so I thought I create one myself.
Episode 4 starts of strong and weak at the same time. Claire's sister reason to kill her parents is really stupid when you think about it, I mean it's totally understandable to kill strict parents who have a tendancy to cheat on their partner, right? I'm not expecting much of her in the future. This short period of stupidity was somehow made up for when Claire was really worried about Shuuichi and was ready to kill herself because she assumed he died. Not much time passed since they got to know each other but I'm convinced that Shuuichi changed her life in a good direction and gave her purpose. But what about Shuuichi? He reminds me a bit of Shinji from Evangelion. His powers scare him and get in the way of living a boring but not life-threatening life. Since he knows that Claire's sister is super strong and would most likely protect him, why doesn't he leave Claire for good? Claire has a clear motivation to stick with Shuuichi, but Shuuichi doesn't. It started with black mail for him after all. I'm not sure what Shuuichi wants at this point: "Save the world" or try to live a normal life?
Oh and by the way, why was Shuuichi's huge scar on his throat completely unnoticed at school?
I enjoyed this episode despite it's flaws.
Personally, this is an anime that I don't think too much about. I'm here for cheesy Death-Game antics, cool fights and big anime tiddies.
Understandable. I can imagine having a good time with this show when it's enjoyed at face-value.
My 'thinker' of the seaon is Yesterday wo Utatte. I feel like this one is gonna get emotional.
