I enjoy anime with Male MC's that just don't care. Something similar would be SNAFU.

Definetly Solo Leveling. I see you have it planned, but why not just give it a try right now? Its really worth it.

You could also try reading Berserk which is my favorite manga, its insane how popular it is yet i dont see people reading it that much.

  Yeah, I've been trying to finish some anime before I read Solo Leveling but it looks so good, I'm not really interested in Berserk not much about it appeals to me.

  Thats understandable when it comes to Solo Leveling, i also got some stuff to watch before i can fully read. But why not give Berserk a try? What makes you stay away from the series? It really is a well-done series, and i honestly dont regret reading it sooner. There is just so much to unpack from the series!

  I'm not too sure, I think it's the overall theme and how dark it looks.

  Oh, then i can understand. its very dark when it comes to the theme and the images but its entertaining. If you dont like it tho, no problem. You can try reading Oyasumi Punpun too, even though MC can be moody sometimes and for good reason, plus its unique

  Seconded. Oreki definitely fits your "doesn't care" criteria, all the characters are likeable, and the anime as a whole is just a great must-watch SoL in my book
