It depends what you consider to be elitist imo. Do you mean shows that are so hopelessly esoteric that nobody can actually like them, or universally agreed upon classics that you're somehow a bad anime fan for not liking (granted there are some shows like that)?

Only things that come to mind (through my interpretation of the word "elitist" in this case), would be Jojo and FMA/FMAB (Full Metal Alchamist / Full Metal Alchamist Brotherhood).

There is no such thing as an elitist anime. It's more of self-proclaimed and self-entitled word use by the majority of pretentious overthinkers and hardcore critics to remove themselves to the anime fanbase even though objectively everybody is a fan of certain titles.

If we pretend that elitist anime exist they are more like anime recommendation made by critics made for people are willing to appreciate what elements the anime medium can offer.

When I think elitist I tend to associate it with anime that are older, slow paced or rather niche.
So I'd probably say Monster, Tatami Galaxy, Ping Pong, Ghiblis etc.

I don't like this thread one bit (I know OP intended it to be a meme ig but damn), how difficult is it to make people understand elitism has nothing to do with the anime they have in favorites but rather is a matter of attitude/behavior? The problem isn't the anime, it's the person. There's no "elitist taste", its a myth, jest, most likely a meme even. People who say "those who like Ashita no Joe, they are elitist" are stigmatizing all of the fans of the serie and making them look like elitist villains. This ain't it chief, this is why I don't like these kind of topics that makes people believe that elitists can only be recognized through the specific shows they like. The SAO fan can be just as elitist as the LOGH fan near ur door, so trying to find which anime appeals to elitists is just like turning around in a never-ending cursed cycle, you're just gonna contribute to a form of discrimination thats blowing in the anime/manga community.

Because I dare bring up a point against a show they are fond of. Despite the fact there are plenty of shows I am also fond of that aren't exempt from flaws.
