Why do you use Anilist?

To keep track of the anime/manga I've watched. Cause I have very short memory so I don't know what episode I was on

I keep mine hidden from friends because they would probably get mad at my ratings. I use it cause its neat to be able to track things, and there are some people this site that I think are kinda cool

I use Anilist to keep track of my anime and manga. I share anilist with my friends so I can see what they are doing and so they can see what I'm doing. I also like the setup of the site more than MAL.

i prefer its aesthetic to that of kitsu, anime-planet or mal, to be honest

I'm a sucker for stats and like seeing the distribution of different show types, watch years, and day/episode counters. I don't have anyone to share my list with, and it's just for me to track my own watching habits. I use MAL too so I can export my list around once a week, though it isn't as complete as my list on here as MAL is missing some things (mainly manhwa and music videos). I use AniList as well as MAL though because of the stats and the neat UI - and it integrates well with Yuna.

I started using AL for Tracking and Stats, but now its the only social media i use... lmao

When MAL was down for a few months that one time I moved here and never looked back. ¯\(ツ)/¯

because it's better than MAL, and it's easier to keep all the shows i've watched organized. plus i think the writing statuses thing is kinda cool.

I used Anilist to start playing AMQ.

Because it has cool, aesthetically sorted statistics, and it's so much more personalized than the other websites. I only moved to anilist yesterday after 7 years of using the-other-one, and I love it! It's so much simpler in use and looks much more modern, making it an obvious pick--it's 2020, after all!

Why do I use Anilist? IDK, ask @fukai20 why, he's the one that told me to use this site when I was starting out lol.

I thought it would be good if i keep track of my animes.And then literally 1 year after using the site,i realized there is a forum section.Then started using forums like CRAZY.

I used MAL before and started playing amq. Switched to Anilist, cause MAL api was dead in amq.

My friend recommended anilist to me ! I don't really have any friends on this site per se, but I think it'd be super cool to make some as well !! I use it to track my anime/manga, but I love how there's also a forum and perhaps a community here as well ;u;

I really just needed somewhere that I could keep track of all the anime I watch because I've been watching for so long I started to lose track and fall off so this helps. I do share it with friends sometimes.

I've been tracking my anime watching since 2003, and Anilist has been the absolute best so far by a landslide. The stats, apps, profile customization, and colors are all fantastic.

I do wish I could get more involved in the community, but I'm chasing some dreams I need to fulfill before I get to old to do them, so I try to come here and see what the fuss is about at least once a week.

literally only for two purposes:

1) venting my personal issues which I am simply too damaged to share in real life

2) flexing my profile designing skills

sometimes I track my anime and manga activity here

I have a too huge list to not use a site for keep in mind all anime I watched xD
And I find Anilist very easy and quick to use, and I like the interface with advanced option like fav our staff or studio =)

I prefer share the site than keep it private but I not really many friend who use an anime list site so :x

migrated from MAL to here because of the far bigger favourites slots

I do share with friends and it's nice to see what each other is watching and reading and steal good shows and recommend them ;)
I mainly use it because I like the stats and it keeps track of what I've watched (obviously)

functionally, i like keeping track of things i watch and having a count and things like that, and i switched here from mal honestly just because its so much nicer to look at lol

I like keeping track of how much i enjoyed shows and i like the clean look of anilist. I have one friend who also watches anime and we're mutuals on here

The interface is a hell of a lot better than MAL.

My memory sucks so I use the site to keep track of which animes that I have watched.
I have also shared it will most of my friends with some of them also using the site.
I have also used MAL in the past but found the UI and UX to be clunky and slow so I googled for a new site to use and found AniList.
