  Can someone please tell me the order in which I should watch steins gate, saw so many answers on google but they are different and just can't decide.

Steins;Gate is the first one, Steins;Gate 0 is the sequel. There are some OVA's and alternate endings to the first one.

Main Timeline

Get the main timeline out of the way first, nothing else will make sense if you don't

SteinsGate
complete the core season before anything else

SteinsGate Egoistic Poriomania
This takes place in the main timeline just a few months after the ending of the show

SteinsGate The Movie Load Region of Dj Vu
this is the rap up to the main timeline that takes place a while after the OVA

Alternative Timeline

For this it's up to you how you want to start it because it starts as an alternative to ep 23 of the original tv show

SteinsGate 0 23 Divide by Zero
For this you could either just watch this or if you have a lot of time to waste rewatch the first 22 episodes of the core season; which you probably don't want to do. So just remember the first 22 episodes as best as you can

SteinsGate 0
Finally we have the ending to the alternative timeline taking place after 23β

SteinsGate 0 Valentines of Crystal Polymorphism Bittersweet Intermedio
you can watch this after everything else, it was an unreleased episode for S;G 0 and does not have any plot relevance to the story

SteinsGate Soumei Eichi no Cognitive Computing

You don't have to watch this at all, it's just an IBM ad

steins gate 1-22
steins gate 0: 23b divide by zero
steins gate zero
steins gate 23-end

im not sure where the movie fits in

  That is a nice watch order that hits harder but it isn't the watch order the creators intended.
  It is:
  
  Steins;Gate
  
  Steins;Gate 0
  The Deja Vu movie can be watched after either of these series, it's fine. It's a sequel to the first series but it has no connection to 0. If you were to go by the watch order listed above then watch the movie at the end.
  Up to you to pick either watch order, they are both good for different reasons but I think the one with zero in the middle is better.

  There's no good way to explain it without spoiling stuff. You'll understand once you finish S;G.

  Well, the simple explanation is time travel. The entire show is about it so it's not really a spoiler.
  Steins;Gate zero details the events of one such travel that happened at the point of episode 23 while in the original series we're only shown the results of it.
  After watching all of it, if I had that knowledge prior to watching the series I would go for the "chronological" order with 0 in the middle as it makes the original series' finale much more rewarding and satisfying.

I suggest this order:
anilist.co/anime/9253 -> anilist.co/anime/21624 -> anilist.co/anime/21127 -> optional anilist.co/anime/104174 -> anilist.co/anime/10863 -> anilist.co/anime/11577 -> optional anilist.co/anime/20907

You can skip Valentine's of Crystal Polymorphism and Cognitive Computing. Most important note is to finish the original anime before watching Steins;Gate 0.

I like to think of it this way:

SteinsGate
This is the main story. Think of it as the base version to a game of some sort.

SteinsGate 0 23 Divide by Zero
SteinsGate 0
Now this is an addon in said base game. You watch the first OVA which is supposed to be watched after Episode 22 of the main storyline. This sets up the story to then follow into Steins;Gate 0 which is technically what happens in the alternative timeline. You would then watch Episodes 24-25 of the main story.

SteinsGate Egoistic Poriomania
This is an extra scene if you think of it that way. It's not necessary but it adds to the finish of both storylines as they end up coming out to the same point.

SteinsGate The Movie Load Region of Dj Vu
This is an original movie which means it doesn't technically happen in the original source material. However, it is a good watch if you want more Steins;Gate.

There is also 2 extras:

SteinsGate 0 Valentines of Crystal Polymorphism Bittersweet Intermedio
This would be watch after Steins;Gate 0 if you plan on watching it.

SteinsGate Soumei Eichi no Cognitive Computing
This is an extra that could be watched anywhere after the main series.

There is also one OVA that happens during SG 0. It's quite fillerish so you can skip it if you want but if you don't want then just don't watch it before SG 0 ep 13 to avoid spoilers.

This seems like a nonsense watch order tbh...

As is normally the case just stick with airing. Watch all of the original steins gate, finish that story as it was meant to be seen. Then move on to other works....

anyway, start from 0 and go in reverse order, but skip every second episode and jump out of your window afterwards, obviously

i'm currently watching steins gate right now and i get a lot of people say to watch it that way but im watching it in airing date order, if it was meant to be watched the way that people say then it would have aired in that order, so just watch using release date and youll be fine
