Starting new manga is tempting, but I'm usually hesitant if it's still releasing. Chapter releases are already slow and each chapter is usually quite short.
Because of this, I usually see many people with lots of releasing manga in their reading list. How do you guys keep up with all of it? Aren't plot points forgettable between chapter releases--especially if you are continually diverting your attention?
Or do you try to limit yourself to a few manga at a time? Perhaps you still read releasing manga, but wait until the volumes finish?
I'm curious about how others consume manga.
I keep a couple of thousand plots in quick access memory for a few years.
Beyond that, say five years, I would need some time and some reminders to recollect what was going on.
Quite a lot of the less memorable ones are purged beyond that point. I guess it's still technically possible to recover some, but that requires effort.
I don't promptly forget a story once completed, so there's no issue juggling a couple of hundred ongoing stories since that's a much smaller amount.
Am someone who only and I mean ONLY usually reads things that are ongoing. Am usually maybe 1-10 chapters behind on couple series here and there but I never really forgot the plot. Granted my memory is really good specifically when it comes to things I read. Like I still remember times when I read chapters from like 5-8 years ago
