Are your parents happy from the fact that you watch anime

tbh my parents doesn't know that i even watch anime

My mother calls it cartoons, but they doesn't care as long as I don't get caught with ecchi.

My parents dont know that i watch anime so i cant really say anything

my mom legit thinks i just watch it for the big ass anime titties. when half the time i dont even watch ecchi anime i love my plot driven anime like re zero and monogatari though monogatari is wayyyy ecchi to be fair

They think it's kinda weird and childish, but don't really care.

I told them that I watch cartoons just to be on the safe side. As long as I study well, they don't care.

They complain that I waste time but don’t do anything

my whole family knows i watch anime (im the anime kid in the house :|) but my parents said ill "grow out of those cartoons" but for now they dont really care

aside from other shows i feel like watching, anime is what i mainly watch parents don't really pay it any mind but they do see it as cartoons lol

lol at the beginning i was watching in secrets bc i was scared of their reactions kkkkk, but now i can watch anime in front of them (without fan service oc) and they wont say nothing. They will just say things like "a manga? again? you don't wanna watch real people?" Or things like that, but Idc ahah

They don't care. They don't support me but they don't hate me for that either

I'm a anime watcher since 2009! My mother wasn't happy at the start I even couldn't watch Ghibli movies without her giving a comment about how such movies make children dumb and other things but she accepted it after a while and even went to buy manga with me.

my parents both have very different point of views when it comes to anime.

my father doesn't like the medium at all because he says he usually doesn't like the graphic aspects (so, the drawings, characters expressions, etc). also, the mere fact that anime is a drawing still has a cartoon connotation for him (can't blame him, in all honesty) so he has a hard time taking the more serious anime, well, seriously.
when it comes to manga it's pretty much the same but he does find some manga very beautiful (he used to paint a lot and is very picky when it comes to art. the sceneries in anime are what he tends to like more)

my mom, on the other side, likes anime. she doesn't watch it by herself but she did watch different series with me and enjoyed most of them. her favorites are no.6, psycho pass and wolf children ame and yuki.
also fun fact, she's actually the one who got me invested in animanga in the first place; she bought me my first manga when i was around 8 y/o bc she thought that the drawings would cheer me up.

They don't really know I watch it, but they knew I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z and Naruto, I guess they just feel indifferent towards it aha

They think of them as cartoons and find it strange
that i'm obsessed with it.
But they don't mind as long as i keep up with my studies.

My parents don't care about what I watch/read and even are a little interested in the figures and manga I buy. My mom even started watching a couple of anime not that long ago ^^

It was my dad who introduced me to anime so, yeah

They don’t care to me and to them it’s just cartoons

They think I'm wasting my time and say 'If you have time to watch TV, at least watch something educational'.

Also because I'm Chinese, they mock the way the characters speak as weird and 'screechy'

My mum actually introduced me to anime surprisingly with stuff like inuyasha, gibli, and old gundam anime I can’t remember

why would they be happy lmao, thats like saying "are your parents happy that you watch youtube"

My parents think anime is for kids so I showed them the hentai/bloody scenes

My mom does know that I watch anime, but she doesn't know anything about the gore or ecchi that is present in it. Sadly though, she compares it to serials -_-

My mum doesn't mind, she even tries her best by calling my anime Kamisama pukupuku when it's called Kamisama Hajimemashita lol
My father considers it as a waste of time, not as in disrespecting anime, but saying that I'm invested in something too much

I've watched anime with my mom quite a few times, my dad doesn't like it and won't watch it. But doesn't care that I watch it

nah they're not proud. it seems like they try to understand it without actually watching it. I tried to explain Naruto to my mom she said there's too much genocide.

My parents are just not kind of people to care what cartoons I watch.
