  The poor 80's dialogue completely threw me off and I found it hard to laugh at any of the jokes cause they were too "slapstick" for me.

  It does kinda make sense, I think hes trying to relate it to the fact that Eva was revolutionary and extremely influential to the Mecha genre and that Madoka is the same to the Magical girl genre. I dont know if i would agree but it sorta makes sense

  They're both deconstructions of their respective genres, Evangelion being a mecha, and Madoka being a magical girl anime. They subvert many tropes and focus on the characters having to experience much darker and tumultuous events than would be assumed from the type of show it appears to be. I'm not claiming one to be better than the other, or that they're exactly the same, but one who likes one is likely to like the other.

  I wont ever watch one piece. as for that gundam though, is it necessary to watch any other gundam prior or am i able to go in without anything else?

  most Gundam anime do need to be watched in order unless it is a part of the same show IE. Iron blooded orphans 1 and 2. You won't have a problem if you just know like the basics of Gundam and what they are and the space communities(not detailed just the existence of them). Also why not one piece it is amazing.

  One piece, the biggest reason im not gonna give it a try is its too long. The other reason is that it just doesnt really look like something i would like, i mean it is the most shounen show out there. To me its in the category of shows that are "You only like them if you watched them as a kid"

  Nah I am telling you one piece is amazing to do one thing don't watch the every episode catch up in different ways such as podcasts or something I am telling you during and after marine ford arc the anime and manga are amazing
