Dragon Dentist. It only has two episodes that are 40 mins long each and the ending is not something everyone might like, but the world and the animation is great.

  If you do end up wanting to watch Hakuoki here is kinda a breakdown of what's what...sorry its kind of a long post
  
  these two are the tv series and I would recommend watching them first
  Hakuoki Demon of the Fleeting Blossom 2010
  Hakuoki Record of the Jade Blood
  then these two are the movies that cover the same story but since this series is based on a visual novel it had different paths and endings so there are a lot of differences
  Hakuouki Movie 1 Kyoto Ranbu
  Hakuouki Movie 2 Shikon Soukyuu
  I really recomend watching both versions the TV and the movies because I like the ending better in the movies but I think the tv series really shows the relationship between the two mains better and a better overall story
  
  This is a prequel but you don't have to watch it, there are some characters in this that do make a cameo in the movies
  Hakuoki Demon of the Fleeting Blossom 2012
  And this is an OVA that takes place in between episodes 8-9 of the first season but it is an amazing addition to the story

  Sorry this was probably way more info than anyone wanted but I never get a chance to talk about this show and it can be kinda confusing I have never played the visual novels, a coworker recommended this anime to me so you don't need to have played them to understand or enjoy this show anyway have a nice day........I'm just gonna leave this here as well

Well, what IS an underrated anime? Everyone has their own meaning for that.

This is literally a copy and paste from another underrated anime thread lol

I'm usually pretty bad at determining what is an "underrated anime" so for the list below, I went with anything that I personally gave a 75 or higher (which is good or better on my scale) and has around or under 10k popularity

It seems most of these are animes that were just received as "meh" by the general public when it came out and then forgotten about. I personally find these the most interesting, as it can lead to you finding a gold mine, or just finding fool's gold.
