How did you finish all 74 episodes of this without dying of boredom with how slow it is?
I watched one or two episodes a day, and it was very interesting. I even liked the slowness of the narration.
@ArtyomR0Bot I WATCHED 50 EPISODES IN 2 DAYS AND TO FINISH REMAINING 24 EPISODES IT TOOK ANOTHER 2 DAYS.
woah imo thats too fast.. u should enjoy it more
@RayTard420 (◠‿◠) I couldn't stop after watching some episodes just like Galactic Heroes and code geass..but still i liked it very much.
i think monster is that type of a series that you can't fully and fairly judge if you haven't finished it. you need to watch it carefully and notice the message it's bringing up to you, for example endings are a must-watch and honestly if you dont skip them, your feelings about monster will change a lot.
i think there's a lot of moments when you are like "ohh- ohhhh so that is why!" and for me it was one of the best parts, i still remember how i was watching it during my senior year. came back home after tiring classes and every day i watched an ep or two eating a dinner, best feeling ever.
sometimes an anime must be slow, otherwise they dont make sense. not every series is about action. monster really is one of the best stories written ever, if you think it was boring you clearly didnt pay much attention to it or you just watched it for your anime day count without any reflection. also, it's a series that is worth being rewatched, you can notice so much things you missed during the first time! i highly recommend it <3
sorry for my eng.
I'd recommend reading @Jaekoi 's review on it. He made some great points on it, and the analysis really sheds new light towards the show. https://anilist.co/review/10779
Though personally I found it intriguing. If physiological anime's such as Monster are not your type, than I guess the show simply just wasn't for you.
Maybe it wasn't for you, I am around halfway through the manga and the mystery regarding Johan's character and the overall thrill the manga provides is amazing.
Can you explain what is thrilling about it? I couldn't help but be completely disinterested by any part of this.
Johan is the sole character who makes the story an amazing thriller. He doesn't have a lot of screen timez yet I can feel his presence in every chapter I read. Most of the characters are connected to Johan somehow but there isn't enough info to connect all the dots. I find it even more intriguing everytime Johan appears.
If you didn't find it interesting, maybe you don't like thriller stories. I can't ask you what exactly did you felt was wrong about it since I haven't completely read the manga myself.
