I don't know, but is watching an anime with romance between a highschool girl and 26 y/o ok?
Also, in Japan it's legal so it's ok according to the laws in Japan. Hell it's even legal for 2 highschool students to get married without the presence of their parents
So almost all of these relationships you see in anime involving a large age gap like that, yeah that's pretty much the norm in Japan, even the movie Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift a scripted line was said by a character to the main character about him should get a high school girl because they're easy and because every else does it
You have to consider the age gap may not actually be as wide as you may think it is - In Japan High school last much longer than it does in the west with most finishing HS at 18 and some even reaching 19 so the age gap between her and the older person would only be 8 years tops and not really that bad.
Sorry but it's not kk, kinda pedo imo
dw chief, the idea of that kind of relationship gets shut down pretty much immediately so its all good.
Its all good to watch it or the fact that's it's bad to watch it?
It's all good to watch it lmao, judging by the manga it's just as they said. He makes it very clear that he is not interested in her romantically and any approaches like that get shot down immediately.
@xXDisappointmentXx aaaaaah in the manga he says that the idea of that type of relationship is impossible (I didn't understand well srry)
@Creeperchan Don't worry. It's pretty mature about it. Watch the first episode than drop it if you are not feeling it.
it's fine if:
it's anime and therefore fiction
it stays fictional and doesn't become an obsession that carries over to real life
it's not actively condoning for this or romanticizing it to make it seem like a good idea, thus having a possible influence on people who might not be developed enough to understand why it's bad
it portrays things in a semi-realistic manner since these things do actually happen
it's not fine if:
it becomes too romanticized and paints the ordeal as if it's "uwu cute and sweet look at us breaking out of social norms"
it becomes an excuse to justify that behavior in real life
I've been reading the manga, it's very clear that the main guy wants NOTHING to do with having some sort of romantic relationship with the girl. A lot of the plot covers MC's romantic life outside of his home and how the main girl handles her previous "relationships", if you can call them that.
Essentially, it's not a romance between the two. This is very clearly established in the first chapter and likely in the first episode, which is releasing today.
does that mean that this comment was wrong too? https://anilist.co/forum/thread/24346
The comment isn't necessarily wrong, but a little misleading.
From what I understand, they're concerned that Sayu, the high school girl in question, might "win" in a harem scenario because she was the first one the main character met. Although in more recent chapters there have been a few mentions from OTHER characters that Sayu and the MC might fall in love at some point, so far nothing has actually developed between the two. It seems like @Nisashi13, much like myself, is hoping that something like that does not happen.
Unfortunately, it isn't phrased the best and gives notion that the two are going to get together/have a romance, which is not the case.
Thank you for the response! I was a little worried after seeing that comment but now I will check the show out.
yes, the manga as of now just hint it like the highschool girl like him because he is kind to her (not to love level yet) and also throw a lot of characters around his age there as @Neenan said. That said, it is not rare for a romance series to have different age gap and just let the main girl win no matter what so i don't want to let my guard down yet.
