It's one of the best war and politics manga and currently ongoing. I don't understand why there is no hype around it.

I heard the anime wasn't that great, did you think it adapted the manga well?
Personally, I recently became interested in Turkish history and culture (love the music, architecture and fashion) so I was definitely going to check it out someday. Also, I think another reason it might not be that popular is that Western manga fans probably prefer Medieval Europe or Japan when it comes to historical settings. The Ottoman Empire is less known.
A thousand times Yess!! I read a few comments on YT saying that the first few eps were a bit slow but I think its quite the opposite; it set the pace for the reminder of the show. I loved the dresses, the animation and the real life references to the Ottoman Empire & Turkey. I'm actually quite invested in the show after watching it so I'm planning on reading the manga plus I'm watching Arslan Senki rn since they're both similar. I rate Altair a 10/10.
I'm actually disappointed that there are no fanfics on the show.
Also Zehir Zaganos Pasha is hot.
do you know in which chapter the anime adaptation end? and which chapter that they skipped?
i going to watch the anime now, and if it's interesting enough and the anime ends with some cliffhanger, i would continue to the manga.
in my opinion you should read the manga from the start, MAPPA cut a decent amount of stuff like a whole sub plot
and yeah the anime ends at a kind of cliffhanger
that's kinda disappointing though.
nah, im the "anime-only" type of guy, wouldn't go such length if the story wasn't interesting enough. and i personally avoid lengthy and ongoing manga, because most of the time i forgot about them and lost interest after weeks or months.
also, the reason this anime was in my plan to watch list is, Shara. lmao
oh boy, what a fine girl she is. well, Shara is one thing, the other thing is, it cover middle-east culture or at least based on it, just like Arslan Senki and Magi series.
Understandable but sadly the anime sucks production wise, I wouldn't love it this much if it's wasn't for the amazing writing. That's why I'm telling you to read the manga.
Very good reason haha. Shara is really pretty just like every other woman in the series.
Sorry to dissapoint you but it focuses on multiple areas like Caucasia, Thrace and Mediterranean rather than solely focusing on Middle East. Million times better than settings that take place in Japan by the way.

im fine with that. given the number of works with such culture as an element within it, i always found most of them "lackluster", at least what i've already consumed. though, i believe that's because japan in general had less than decent amount of knowledge about it, compared with western culture. they also seems to avoid islamic and muslim culture altogether, while i think the caliphate era had interesting stuffs to be use as base or elements for fictional works. they haven't scratch the surface, they barely touch it. it's always feels like they only imitate how western perceive it.
