K so how tf do I add pictures from my computer on here? I think I've seen people do it, but like??? Do all pictures and gifs have to come from somewhere else? How many hoops must I jump through?

You can upload them to imgur then copy the image url like you would for a google image

  Did you click copy link cuz that's just the wesite url if you right click/copy image address it'll actually copy the image. I think that should work lol

  Yea I would try what Artemis said if the link has that i.imgur.com/.png url and it doesn’t work I’m not sure what it could be.

  you have to copy the link you get by clicking on "Get Share link"
  the link will be smth like https://i.imgur.com/[someRandomLetters].png
  Example:
  I copy whatever is written here excluding the [img][/img] tags

  I use ImgBB and there is an option for you to choose an "embed code" after you upload the pic. You should choose the one that says "HTML full linked." If you copy and paste it on AniList it should work. If you want to change the size, once you paste it into AniList, click on the image and choose "copy image address" and re-paste it by clicking the "Add Image" button on the top.

I bet they do it this way because it's way cheaper to store text than it is to store pics and vids. If I were them I'd do the same lol

do imgX(image link.jpg) and change X to a numerical value, this will be the size of the image. I use https://imgchest.com/?page=2 for anonymous image hosting

Just upload the pic to a discord DM with ur friend and copy the image URL from there.

just right click on the pic and choose "copy image location"
