After my drama and romance spree in 2019, I decided to try some action and martial arts stuff in addition to the usual comedy and slice of life. The shows I remember most fondly are Baki the Grappler, Kengan Ashura, Non Non Biyori, and Nourin. I also watched a ton of Studio Ghibli films.
About halfway through the year, I got pretty burned out and switched to just manga. Since a new season of Higurashi was upcoming, I decided to read instead of rewatch the original anime again. I also binged Railgun and Sankarea like crazy (highly recommend both!) and caught up with a ton of series I never saw get another season. The manga I loved most was Umineko, though. I dropped it in 2018 after giving myself a super spoiler while looking through character sprites, and I completely regret doing so. Those last two episodes made me lose sleep with how much they had me invested! The anime frustrated me years ago, which made reading that much more satisfying. Easily one of my favorites!
Overall, 2020 was alright. I picked up a book that wasn't for a class for the first time in a while. And although I didn't watch as much as I wanted to, I'm hoping to fix that next year.

What was the best show you watched this year? According to my ratings, Fate/Zero. I rated the 2nd cour a 90 and the first cour 74, giving that series an average rating of 82.
