Fire Emblem Heroes
This thread serves as a discussion corner for the upcoming Fire Emblem mobile application, scheduled to be released worldwide on March 2017. It is set to run on Android and iOS platforms.
Not much was said about the app, but it allegedly will not bring a traditional Fire Emblem experience, but one focused more on bringing interest in the franchise and games on Nintendo platforms in general. They are hoping to achieve that through the mobile market with this app.
What do you think we will get out of it? Personally, I'm just hoping it won't be pure advertisement material with the whole app just ending up as a high-end demo, featuring stunning aspects but being very short in overall length of gameplay. Other than that, I'm open for surprises!
Whatever we get, I just hope they make permadeath optional :^)
After seeing gameplay from Super Mario Run, I'm assuming that this app will give us gameplay that is very similar to traditional FE games. Perhaps you could buy units from each of the different games to form a unique team? That'd be really nifty
Something like what was done in Awakening with the Outrealm character units? Maybe so! And optionalising permadeath made the series less obscure and more accessible to lazybones newcomers as we've seen with the latest two 3DS entries, so my guess is that especially because it'll be released on mobile devices, disabling permadeath will probably still be a feature to appease the more casual mobile players.
As far as images go, we've only got this placeholder logo. Latest news was the initial announcement of the FE mobile game and the one set in the Animal Crossing universe already dates back to 27 April. So far still nothing to note, and I wonder how they're going to manage microtransaction options. Also, will it take place in a whole new universe or one of the existing ones (like the relatively unexplored Sacred Stones' world of Magvel...)?

there has been a lot of threads about fire emblem lately but i have not seen a thread about fire emblem heroes so here it is!
I haven't played too much, I rarely play mobile games, and I have never played Fire Emblem before, but this game is honestly fantastic. It's so beautiful and the mechanics are easy to wrap your head around. I found myself playing for a decent amount of time earlier, but I'm still at an early level. But I look forward to continuing through the story and getting heroes.

Man, I have been obsessed with this game since I got it last Saturday! Playing it far less now than I did when I initially started but it's still really fun. Honestly getting a little bit bored of just grinding especially since I don't have a full 5 star team (actually it's just cause I suck), but the game is so attractive that I can't stop so soon and I'm sure many many updates are yet to come.

Effie is amazing. Pure brute force. With distante counter and maybe Wings of Mercy she would be really good.
Fir is easy. I got 3 so far. But only this one is 4.
Honestly, I'm only playing this now to see what summons I get once I rack up enough from the daily bonus since I maxed out my team and finished everything I could. Considering uninstalling if not much gets updated after the next big update.
There's a ton of characters to be released in the coming period Ike enter the arena, so I bet it won't be abandoned for at least another year. It's one of the more viable gacha games out there.

So, was anyone fortunate enough to summon Hector or maybe Azura?
Because I lacked a good lance wielder, I promoted my Sharena all the way to 5 stars. Azura and her Sing would be a really nice addition to my defence team. I don't have thousand bucks to spend, so no Hector for me.
Anyone pulled one of the newest Sibling Bonds chars? Wonder how they're faring in the arena.
Eh, all the 5-stars I have are lance wieders; Abel, Ephraim and Effie. Therefore I'm not really lacking in that regard, but it would be nice to get some other type of a 5-star at one point - the last two or three summoning runs of 20 orbs were mainly duplicate 3-stars with a duplicate 4-star here and there... quite unlucky overall
Nice lance army. Add a flier like Catria, and you'd have all movement types. That's actually pretty beneficial with all those reds dominating the current meta. It would help to get other types as well, indeed. My own offence party currently consists of Roy, Julia, Sharena and +hp -def Takumi. Defence is Julia switched out for my second neutral Takumi.
Got 19 orbs atm, let's see if I get any armoured unit at tomorrow's summon...
