Why do we need your help?
AniList & AniChart are free to use but ad-supported, however ads don't make enough to support the sites and we don't want to fill our pages with countless ads that can ruin your experience.
Your donations will allow us to cover our server payments, development costs, and keep the sites running long into the future. :)
What do I get for donating?
Donators receive access to exclusive features and bonuses, such as badges, animated avatars and lots more! Check out each donation tier for their specific perks.
Please note the minimum donation amount is $1.
Monthly donations (Patreon or PayPal) or One-time donations (PayPal)
We'll be incredibly thankful for any donation you can give, though recurring monthly donations will allow us greater financial stability in the months to come. If Patreon isn't your thing you can also do monthly donations via PayPal. One-time donations will receive equivalent rewards for the same amount of time as one monthly donation (1 month per monthly donation).
Please be aware donations are currently being processed manually and may up to 48 hours to be activated. If you have issues with your donation, please message @nck or email us at contact@anilist.co

Will the donator badge permanently be on my profile if I pay one-time via PayPal or do I have to pay monthly? I'm also assuming that $1 is also the amount I have to pay on PayPal like Patreon to get the donator badge?
Also, about the ad thing, I think it would help if it was relocated somewhere else. Since it's placed on the bottom of the website, the infinite scrolling makes people unable to view or click them.
It will be on your profile for 1 month for a one-time donation, and more months for following one-time donations. Monthly donations will have it as long as they stay as a patreon. I also have a "Donated" status tho not sure if that will have a badge or something else, but I'd like to do something for users that donated in past at least.
Yeah true, not a huge amount of the pages have infinite scrolling but the idea is that its out of the way and not being intrusive, we still get a little for having it on the page even if its not clicked, tho a click is worth a fair amount more.
At what Pateron pledge tier do I get nudes?
Damn @matchai, you weren't this expensive the last time we talked; what happened? O_o
My stock in AniCorp paid out dividends. Next round's on me!
hey admin o.o when i click "paypal" its showing the money in BRITISH POUNDS but I'm in Canada o.o I wanna pay u guys 5 bucks how to do that ;_;
Unfortunately, for the time being, Paypal donations can only be made in British pounds. Patreon should be able to accept donations in other currencies.
Donated just now. Set up a Monthly recurring profile @Josh
@josh why you didnt make a premium member, and a feature from premium member you can make a member can edit backgroud of their post or can custom background and other stuff, and maybe you can use RATCHET PHP for make realtime chatting no need node.js or react.js just need some script php and jquery but i see your site used angular js, ratchet can run with angular to run RATCHET, and on chatting the member can change their post bg or other i think much way to make profit for your site,
RATCHET on codeigniter maybe this link will usefull
github codeigniter ratchet realtime chat
and iam plan to try make site like that . . .
sorry if my english so bad XD iam from indonesia so, iam not often use english tehe
Directly from the Patreon page:
**Why don't you make a "Pro" account with more features instead of relying on donations?** Simply put we don't want to block features from users who can't afford to pay. We don't have any features in the pipe line that would cost us more to run, and we feel restricting features that don't cost us any extra would be wrong to our users.
Good guy AniList
>isn't corporately owned like MAL or Kitsu
>staff happily interacts with users directly
>runs limited ads
>thanks you for not using adblock instead of guilting you for not using it
>supports itself by politely asking for donations, says no big if you can't
>doesn't limit features if you don't donate
I mean, if that's not reason enough to chip in a few bucks if you can, I don't see what is.
Transparency question: While the Patreon numbers are visible, the PayPal donations and ad revenues are not. How important are they in comparison?
Patreon donations definitely help us out the most at the moment.
We get a couple of small paypal donations a month, and I think theres maybe 2 people doing monthly donations via paypal, but its very very little compared to patreon. Sometimes someone will donate a 1-time larger amount via paypal, say $20-$50 though thats only really happened 2 or 3 times so far.
Adsense use to be very helpful to us but over the years they've been giving out less and less, and have gotten a lot more inconsistent. Some months adsense might match the patreon amount, other months it won't even be half way there. The "estimated earnings" amount adsense provides has also gotten a lot worse, it use to be say $5 off what we would actually get but now it can be anywhere from 10-50% off so its really hard to depend on adsense for anything since the amount changes so much month to month and then we don't really have any idea of the actual amount we'll get until its payed out a few weeks into the next month.
"Starting December 18th, we will apply a new service fee of 2.9% + $0.35 that patrons will pay for each individual pledge."
Which means AniList gets less money from everyone who pays 18$ or less, but gets more money for everyone who pays 18$ or more.
I pay you with 5$/month, but because of that i want to change that. Any suggestions? Paying once a year?
To be honest with the amount of backlash patreon is getting with the change I doubt they'll actually go through with it, or at least they'll change it to make it a bit more acceptable.
If they don't, then switching to monthly or yearly paypal donations may be the better option of us and donators. There are a few other services more similar to patreon we may consider using too, like kickstarter's drip, liberapay, or snowdrift once we open source.

They have actually backed out of the change
Just subscribed to monthly donation, I don't have much for now, but I'm contributing with the supporter monthly donation because I've been using anilist for a long time (I have seen ads only once or twice here) and the work you put in this is amazing <3 But the thing is, I really want the badge and stuff on discord. Who doesn't like cute stuff add to their profile, right? How do I get the badge? It's so cute!
If you head over to your Patreon account settings there should be a Connect to Discord button there that'll hook you up with the Patreon integration and it'll work automagically!

Been trying to find a good MAL substitute because I can't stand that website, so I'm thankful that it looks like anilist will become my new home (': I'll gladly support you guys with the One-time donation (since I'm not economically stable at the moment!). Kind of late to the party, but better late than never...I guess.
Just donated 20 GBP!
I can't believe I've failed to notice the Donate Button all this time. (And forgot about disabling Adblock too). I guess I'm just so used to phasing those things out on any random site I see them on...
...but Anilist is different, it's useful af. So occasional donations when my finances allow for it.
Keep on being awesome guys.
I have been here for a long time, and I feel that I owe my thanks to this page, sincerely it helped me a lot, so I would like to make a donation, but I do not have a card or paypal ... so ...
Will some form of donation be possible in cash?
I live in Argentina and we handle different currencies, in case that if possible by cash... how should I make the process to payment by cash?
