What did you think of the episode?
hahaha this is trying so fucking hard to be so edgy and brutal it's kind of just laughable... i'd hate to meet someone who unironically enjoys shit like this.
Ehh, then what anime do you consider edgy done right? The shows unique in the sense that its the first anime that everyone in the show is an antagonist. If you look back at medieval culture/societies you will notice how many were hyper brutal both sexually and physically which the shows setting is based in. For gods sake we blew up a country that wasnt even the cause of 9/11 all for the sake of oil. Im not saying this show is a masterpiece, however, the show is at least a 7.5 out of 10. Most people who try to rebuke this generally cant come with a good engough argument why its not or they will say"its too edgy." Thats a very objetive look but id like to see what people have to say about it from a subjective one. EDIT: If you want to see my argument against somone on this subject jsut view my profile activity :)
Berserk is edgy done right - and the fact you give this garbage a 7/10 is tragic..
Ok then explain what makes it garbage. You require the burden of proof yet you give none. I never said Berserk wasnt edgy done right so your essentially strawmaning this argument. I like how conveniently you didnt decided to rebute how cruel medieval times were which is essentially what the shows setting is. Also the first sentance of the post you commented on I made is talking to the people who are discounting edgyiness. It was never aimed at you.
The reason it's garbage is literally because it is just revenge porn. And not even the good kind. Like, we get it, the MC is pissed and wants to rape back whoever raped him. The show has no real substance. I can tell you the plot of the show in one single sentence, which will be "MC wants revenge." That's it. Nothing special about the show that has not been done before.
Shiii you mean like Black clover? Nauto? I could dumb donw any anime can just say it in one sentence for example, I could dumb down Black clover and make it seem like some screaming, stealing from shows, trope full, typical pointless shonen shit. I could make sasuke just sound like a character who just mad that his clan got killed so hes out for revenge but that's not fair. You just employed an oversimplification fallacy and generalization fallacy which isn't very smart to do. I want to know like is it bad character writing, pacing, themes, etc. What the show is demonstrating so far is a look at a world where everyone in it is inherently evil and there is no good. How many other shows do you know that doe this? and no, berserk does not count because he is an anti-hero. By your logic that of oversimplification and calling it revenge porn I could say any isekai/shonen is sum copy/paste bullcrap. And your saying its bad because its "revenge porn" I would LOVE for you to explain how revenge porn as an anime is subjectivly bad, what your doing here is appealing to masses becase all they know of revenge porn is hentai. That's why I SPECIFICALlY said not to rate objectively. On IMDB Goblin Slayer is a 7.5, are you saying the plot hole filled, slow paced, mediocre animation, zero philosophical message whow like that is better? Are you discounting revenge/justice in that form bad just because you are used to the modern happy ending version of it? GAME OF THRONES will win oscars while still having gang-singular rape in the show. You know why it didnt affect the popularity of that show? It's because it helped further the plot and wasnt in there to just be like, "hey! my man just got raped...oh well I just wanted to show you that....now lets move on XD." Every scene of Keyaru getting raped has an extreme/important meaning to it, we also get to see Keyarus internal struggle with dealing with all that he had to endure AND we get to see a innocent kid take a complete left turn and become the monster he wanted to save people from. AND yes they count as monsters because monsters dont come in one view from a subjective standpoint. @AQUAdropkicker
I'm just here tryna figure out how you brought 9/11 into a discussion about an anime that has nothing to do with 9/11.
Like, what?
Good point you make about the timeline. Although the topic you are trying to compare will make some people stand against you tho... even though there are thousands of tragic occurrences that happened throughout our lifespan somehow 9/11 is the one that we aren't allowed to touch... Do I look like I care? No. and I'll gladly pick it up to compare to anime anytime it does fit.
And don't say "If your family is in that incident" type of thing. I'm not that kind of a human to shut everybody trying to compare my family tragic incident to some anime. I'd even be more glad that people remembered it. Seriously.
So far it has not disappointed, every degenerates wet dream.
Shii u right u right, every degenerate guy just looooves watching other guys gett butt fcked and made to suck their own Pnis.
Did I say "degenerate guys"? Anyone can be a degenerate, Anime is for everyone, our brothers and sisters deserve some guy on guy action as well. It's not for me and it may not be for you, however someone enjoyed it. Also it's all the sweeter the revenge will be, when bullet gets his, instead of being a silent bystander bullet was a main contributor to his torture and abuse. This isn't the place for being homophobic on the internet, go to twitter.
One thing I do not understand is that why would Keyaru remove Flare's original consciousness if he wanted revenge on her though? Whoever reads manga, Spoilers are welcome.
So Flare with her new self (a.k.a Freiya) just became one of the best girls nominees in 2021 all of a sudden...
How is that supposed to be your revenge on that thot my man??? It would just be turned into a wholesome sex scene now...

I haven't watched any of this nor have I read the source material though I have been following this dead baby joke of a series. Making someone "wake up" with full memories of a mind control is a common enough trope. The real question for me, again not having read or watched anything, is that is she still inside "asleep" or has an actual identity death occurred or is it one of those aware but unable to go against her programming. Either way this is high-kink MC right here.
If the latter is true, then I guess I can apply the same rule that Keyaru can still maintain some of his consciousness after restarting the world due to his enraging hatred of her, I think... Well... boi... Considering she's still got fond memories of her sister's name, she's basically a ticking timebomb then.
One thing I do not understand is that why would Keyaru remove Flare's original consciousness if he wanted revenge on her though? Whoever reads manga, Spoilers are welcome.
I would say revenge comes in an infinite number of forms. Keyaru probably absolutely loves the idea that Flare the one who put him through this torture and controlled him is now being controlled by himself. If you (not saying you do or are) were constantly bullied/ridiculed by someone in highschool and then were able to make them do what you want to do wouldn't that in a sense be one of the ultimate forms of revenge?
Absolute fire only thing I'm disappointed in is that everybody is too busy bitching about aot than to cause a Twitter outrage regarding redo of a healer.
If this becomes the main twitter ragemob fuel, it might actually still be burning by the time Nagatoro comes out. I don't know how I will feel about that since I've been waiting to read THAT salt for years and I will be bummed if this overshadows it.
Why isn't there a Mary Sue article yet. Their weekly anime articles aren't even mentioning it and the comment section is empty.
The more and more I watch this "anime" the more it feels like I'm watching hentai.
I understand the goal of the story is to make us hate everyone with a burning passion.
But can they go one episode without showing anything sexual?
The only reason I'm watching it is that it's like a trainwreck, It's terrible, but you can't look away.
i read the manga and honestly i dont care about the sexual stuff, i just wanna see him do his revenge but spoiler alert every single revenge act involves in raping the antagonist, maybe not by himself but by brainwashed subordinates of them but yeah thats what happens every single time. i mean there are probably better methods to have revenge on somebody than always just the deed. To answer your question, no there will not be a single episode without anything related to sex. Actually the anime is worse than the Manga. In the Manga those scene's are rather short but of course frequent but in the anime those scene's so far have been outlined a lot more.
I'm enjoying the show, it's utter filth. More than that I enjoy reading the comments about the show, all the moral arbiters come crawling out of the woodwork to protest how bad and reprehensible it is AND YET continue to watch it. If the show offends you or makes you uncomfortable in anyway, good. That means it's accomplishing what it set out to achieve.
