Boruto Naruto Next Generations Pretty much on par with Naruto. (But this has tons of actually valid criticisms)
BEASTARS People dislike this for the most trash reasons, them being animals is not a valid criticism.
My Hero Academia People act like if you broke your arm you wouldn't cry.
JoJos Bizarre Adventure Just because you saw one weird out of context clip doesn't make the show bad.
These are not the most hated and I don't think a majority or people hate them but their hate in my opinion is not deserved
I dont think 79 and 80% are bad tbh
They aren't bad scores I'm talking about the people that hate them and that their reasons usually suck its not a majority but a larger number of people hate these show and I think the scores are higher because the people that hate them don't accually watch them (except for Boruto)
agreed with jjba and beastars. people still have that annoying ass mentality that one is a "gay show" and the other is a "furry show"
@ThirdImpact
Their mentalities annoy me so much.
There's always going to be people hating no matter how good the anime is. But this thread is about the 'most overhated anime', these ones are just hated by some (like every other anime that exists). But I don't think they're part of the most overhated.
Also, you will never convince me the Boruto anime is good, I watched I think 20-30 episodes and i couldnt continue. The manga is alright but not on par with the original Naruto.
@nullanime First of all obviously all shows get hate but these are examples of shows that get a large amount of hate especially from people who have not seen them all the way through and if you look at other peoples comments they are mostly popular well known shows as well so I'm pretty sure I did what the threads purpose was. And if you don't think they are overhated that's fine but most people would disagree with you (look at likes). Also I don't plan on convincing you Boruto is good but judging a show off of like 30 minutes is not really valid
People dislike this for the most trash reasons, them being animals is not a valid criticism.
People should be free to dislike whatever for being furry though? I didn't know you must like furries? Ofc saying the series' shit just because of the furry element is too much, but if one hates such a theme and dislikes the anime for that I don't think there's anything wrong.
Depends on the level of dislike?
I haven't seen the show, but let's assume that it has an amazing soundtrack, an interesting story, well-developed characters and a beautiful animation. Then it has a theme you dislike. Wouldn't you say that giving it a 1/10 after that would be dishonest and, well, wrong?
Of course everyone is free to dislike whichever element of any show they want. Just look at how much hate any ecchi show gets. But as you said,
saying the series' shit just because of the furry element is too much
Sorry everyone I'll answer with 1 comment bc I'm lazy.
@HaremRoute "hate" is a very negatively connoted word but as long as "dislike" goes, I think you should be able to dislike anything for whatever reason. Taste is taste after all. As for the 1/10, it depends, I think you should always try to separate personal feelings from the objective worth of a show, but some people don't believe objective worth ever exists, so...
@Greengene I never said anything about people insulting others for what they like... that's definitely no good. Also, personally I have no problem with Disney because it has no sexual element whatsoever. Typical furry often has a sexual undertone that creeps me out, as I personally find the idea of anthropomorphic animals having sex revolting. But if one likes it I don't really have anything against that.
@aocchan
"I didn't know you must like furries?" How was this not being rude to me for liking Beastars? You literally assumed something about me for liking a show that was kind of rude tbh. Also not liking anthropomorphic animals in more mature settings is fine. But its not a bad thing about the show or an error its just the type of story it is.
Ok but insulting people that watch the show and the show without even watching it for one aspect you dislike is childish and obviously you can do that and hate anything for whatever reason, that doesn't make it a good reason and I can call that reason shit and that's perfectly fine as well plus don't see why people complain about the animals when they grew up with Disney and many other "furry" like things
don't see why people complain about the animals when they grew up with Disney and many other "furry" like things
Huh... I never thought about it this way actually. But you're right. I don't remember people hating this one for anthropomorphized animals for example...
Then again, nobody sexualized these animals back then either... unless...
@HaremRoute Don't even get me started on Zootopia, Fnaf, Animal Crossing, Crash Bandicoot and Racket and Clank, Sonic, these are basically mini furry communities
No one talks or cares about Zootopia everyone just watched the movie and that's it, Fnaf isn't furry in a way and those communities are weird for other reasons, Animal crossing is a iffy one, Crash and Ratchet aren't really furry people just like the game, and i can agree with the Sonic community being furry and weird.
Boruto is not close to naruto. Boruto is basically a slice of life anime at sometimes.
@lilwho Its fine if you think that I kindly disagree
beastars was just boring from what I saw
@SpaceCowboy35 Its fine if you found it boring its probably just not your type of show.
I mean more on a moment to moment level, like the way things were framed and such
I respectfully disagree, I'm not even 100% what you are talking about
As in it didn't give the immense desire to click the next episode and all. I get it because I felt the same a bit, it was more of a slow burn drama.
The boruto manga is good but the boruto anime legit only has one good episode that has managed to stay in my head.
Unless there's a complete turn around in the series I see no way of redemption. I need to only point at the first arc of the series. The Zabuza arc Vs the Cluster fuck of whatever the fuck the first arc was for boruto.
First impressions matter for a series. I don't mind if a series is slow, but if it doesn't pick up after the first few arcs you cannot try and defend the series.
This is the only reason I need to show for not giving the rest of the anime a chance.

I get what you are saying and see why people wouldn't like it close to as much, Boruto is extremely flawed but Naruto had a lot of the same problems like the fillers but Boruto does do somethings better than Naruto as well like way better female characters but also does plenty of things worst. And btw that filler percentage is inaccurate its calling anime only filler which is not accurate because its cannon just not in the manga keeping that in mind Boruto has a filler percentage of around 15% while Naruto OG has around 40%. I also must admit that the anime only content can be very boring
I agree with beastars and jojo's, but Boruto is pretty bad and the mha community is annoying
Ok I see where you are coming from I know Boruto is a very flawed show that being said the amount of hate it gets I find to be way too much considering Naruto had a lot of the same flaws (FILLER) and there is some things Boruto does better than Naruto like way better female characters but I totally see why people would not like the show. But on the My Hero thing you kind of proved my point yes the fans can be annoying but that's not a reason good to hate the show.
I agree that the community shouldn't be a factor in judging an anime, but it's the amount of people I find claiming that mha is their favorite anime is absurd. The anime is at best a little better then mid and it's hard not to overlook their ignorance. Also, I tried watching Boruto, but I found a majority of the show to be filler. However, I also do believe that Naruto (Shippuden) is extremely overrated. I also gave the manga a chance, but was disappointed to say the very least.
