What can I do about that? How do you handle it?
I feel that way too. I remember I watched a show that was a 10/10 and then I watched a show that was a 7/10. I felt like dropping that show tbh, but then it got better. I don't have that feeling anymore since it's been a month or two. The feeling usually goes away by itself, or you watch another 10/10 show.
im like that with video games. completed a game called dusk back in 2018 and i couldnt play anything for 2 whole days because it was so good
best advice is to just explore other mediums. i wasnt into anime at the time but i know for a fact it wouldve helped because it gives you time to really think about it and get that post kino clarity to fade away
Have patience and look forward to the future. As you change and grow as a person, you'll gradually appreciate some things you did not like before, while finding it hard to get into some things you used to enjoy. Beyond anime being very subjective per person already, even one person will have different perspectives of them as time passes. I wouldn't worry much, there's still plenty of great stuff out there that you'll appreciate either now or later.
As for now, you could try to identify what you like the most about your favorite shows and then go through the best the genre has to offer, starting from the top of course. Maybe you'll come across a show that has a new flavor or element from a whole different genre that you can then explore.
