What did you think of the episode?

What's that thing called, where a character has a trait that contrasts their usual one? Gap moe?
Eris nails the annoying brat trope in a way that cracks me up laughing, similar to how Saika (Oregairu) nails the trap trope. It's like a gag to hear that annoying squeaky voice, with her popping out without any delicacy. It's those girly moments that offset it, like showing up in a fancy outfit.
I dunno if that gap moe applies to Rudeus's pervy nature, but that gets me to crack up too. The voice narrating his thoughts might have something to do with it though. The Hilda scene... XD
Dem. Good episode, critical point is coming fast. Also when Eris asked about notes i remembered that Rudeus was taking his notes through life in Japanese, well it was even shown in episode.
Big Spoiler time -> Rudeus will meet Perugius some time in future, but rather later than sooner
Next episode or episode in two weeks will be BIG. Can't wait!
Edit: I wanted to mention how good every episode opening theme composes with animation. I much more prefere this than standard opening, full of spoilers or full of nothing - those are two typical patterns and i'm bored with them.
This show would be AOTS material if it weren't for the pointlessly creepy shit the MC does. Every episode has interesting worldbuilding, a bit of character development, and 5 minutes of "haha look at how much of a gross piece of shit this kid is"

Creepy for sure. Unnecessary I don't think that I agree. The scene was meant to show that while Rudeus is making some strides towards becoming a fully respectable adult he isn't there yet. While physically rudeus was 30 something, emotionally he was no older than 10 years old, in his previous life he never got close to touching someone of the opposite sex.
P.S I am not condoning Rudeus actions what he did was wrong, I am just trying to explain the reasons behind such actions. Please have some nuance people.
I just can't see his perversions having meaning. I don't see the point of him feeling the need to grope some kid and check below her skirt. And emotionally no older than 10? I'm not sure I quite follow that, sorry if I'm missing something ((⇀‸↼))
But he clearly knows what he's doing, he even knew what he was doing when he was a toddler, leering at his mother and the maid. He still has the thought process and mindset of a grown adult, which he's shown many times.
And I understand that he's never touched someone of the opposite sex and that he's faced hardships in his previous life.
But it's just distasteful for me personally. I see and get your point though.

It comes down to maturity. As Rudeus stated before he spent at least 20 years indoors with zero to no human contact whatsoever, so unlike most people adept to social situations Rudeus has like no filter. It's like someone that has gotten tips about social interaction with the opposite sex from porn games.
Who knows? Perhaps I am being too charitable towards Rudeus character.
Spoiler warning not only for the spoilers in Ep 6 but also for talking about themes of sexual violence.
Why did I have to watch a mentally grown man sexually assult a nine year old? Why was that necessary? And why was it played as a comedy bit? Tell me, anime. Tell me why.
@ThanatosLOB To show that while Rudeus is making some strides towards becoming a fully respectable adult he isn't there yet. While physically rudeus was 30 something, emotionally he was no older than 10 years old, in his previous life he never got close to touching someone of the opposite sex. The scene is supposed to be uncomfortable, and the funny part was supposed to be him getting his ass beat.
was a good episode but i wish they would tone down the sex jokes there
In medieval times there isn't much to do but to fuck, die or play politics.
i know but stuff like the part where he tried to steal her panties was unnecessary and creepy
