Alot of people don't understand the word underrated, so please list a genuinely underrated/unheard of show.
Blood definitely takes the spot for me, I have yet to meet someone who has seen this show, and I loved every bit of it.
Not sure about underrated, but I have never heard anyone mention
NanatsuiroDrops
the reason desu2 anime isnt very popular is (i think) because shin megami tensei games (yes im including persona in this) are hard to translate into anime form. Devil survivor has so many different endings and outcomes for characters that i think they would have to leave out many -important or not so important- things. Also desu itself anime-ish enough. I played the games and didnt feel the need to watch the anime
(im sorry for going on a unneeded rant i just wanted to share my opinions)
Underrated Fantasies Here:
Drifting Dragons
Rokka Braves of the Six Flowers
Chivalry of a Failed Knight
Blast of Tempest
without a doubt in my mind
Sakigake Cromartie Koukou
I'd also slightly mention LOTGH, its very well known but so many people have it on PTW and don't touch it lol
Not necessarily "underrated," but I'd say it is pretty much unheard of.
Kiba was honestly one of my favorite series in middle school, & although it was a bit corny & initially seemed like it'd be a kids series like Pokemon, it was actually unexpectedly dark at times & had some pretty heavy themes too- which is honestly what drew me into the series! Something about Kiba always made me feel really nostalgic for some reason too, & I'm not sure if it was the world itself, the characters, or most likely, one of these 3 music tracks, but I really loved the eerie & unsettling tone of this series! It honestly made me cry a few times too nglAnd, thinking back on it now after watching so many other shows, I really liked how much more realistic Zed's reaction to being isekai'd was. Rather than deciding to go on some fantastical adventure & leave his past worries behind- like most isekai MCs would- he was still determined to find a way to solve his past problems. I didn't exactly know what an isekai was when I first watched this, but even now, this series still doesn't feel like the average isekai to me because of Zed's character & reaction to his circumstances. ^ I tried to word that in a way where it wouldn't be much of a spoiler, but I'll cover it just in case, since it very vaguely covers like the first few episodes! Read at your own risk I guess! Basically, the main character, Zed, had a really interesting take on his situation & I liked his character & the series a lot cause of it. The description of this series doesn't exactly do it justice.
But I'm talking too much ANYWAYS
I really suggest watching this hidden gem of a series if you haven't already cause it's definitely still one of my favorites to this day!
i really like this anime too, but i don't think its very good. my biggest problem with the anime is how bad the action scenes are. I do like zed though. i found him pretty relatable and he's one of my favorite characters.
In all honesty I think I blanked the action scenes from my memory cause yea- they were pretty bad haha. I definitely wouldn't call this series "great" from a technical standpoint (I actually gave it a 6/10, which is why I said at the beginning of my reply that I can't really argue with the average rating it has now lmao), but for some reason, Kiba's stuck with me for a reallyyyy long time since I've last seen it. I know it's probably the nostalgia talking, but the characters were so interesting (especially Zed & Sara) & the music was super unique. I genuinely think it's one of the most memorable 6/10 series I've seen- even if it had its flaws with its action scenes or even its dialogue in some cases.
Just my opinion, not sure if they are truly underrated
