I still love them sooo much. And idk who i want Toru to be with Kono or Yuki.
I was screaming when I saw this scene, it just keeps getting better
but honestly, the manga handles the pacing better but this is still perfect regardless
I think this is the first episode where they skipped non-fluff content. I would hesitate to call the skipped content important, but it would have made the final scenes in the episode feel more meaningful. The content that was cut would not have made for a full episode, so for better or worse the creative decision to cut that content was made.
I am a huge fan of this series, but even so the final scenes in this episode made even me stop and think "wait what" for a moment. The pacing was definitely weird here, as others in this thread have covered.
Still, given how incredible the rest of the adaptation was so far I am going to give them a pass here.
The thread "Events in Horimiya episode 7" and it's comments have been merged into this thread.
You can view the merged thread's body below:
the anime has been skipping a lot since day 1 (especially horixmiya development). this ep was just too messy for me. If you're ever an anime only and have some issues regarding these stuff, I'd suggest it's time to pick the manga up
What parts did they skip? Just curious
[Removed]
Ohh ok I'll take the time to read it
It is definitely worth the read, but don't let the hearts on the original comment fool you. They skipped fluff. This adaptation is all meat and no fat. As I said in another comment, this is the first episode they skipped meaningful content (meaningful does not mean important). This is a fantastic adaptation.
I CANT BELIEVE 2 ANIME CHARACTERS FUCKED
IF you can't belive this, don't watch Yosuga no Sora In Solitude Where We are Least Alone
This episode was short of amazing, I have been waiting for this scene since the first episode came out, this show never fails to just get better and better.
For the anime only people here that think that their deed was too rushed (seeing we only seen them kissing for the first time last episode) it’s been 2 to 3 weeks now (with 5 of these days completely apart and with no communication), in the heat of the moment things end up happening.
The only thing I didn’t like much was the Souta’s scene, it felt too fast. He “knew” they had sex and got worried he was losing his sister forever Other than that this episode was great!
EEEEEEE I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT
ok the scene before that part was SO beautiful how can two characters be so perfect for each other OMG
usually the girls in shoujo relationships fail to stand out to me but they. are. both. perfect. i get kou x futaba vibes (ao haru ride) from hori x miyamura just in terms of how well they connect on an emotional (and now physical ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) level + like the beauty of it all. so good so good so good
Honestly, it was a huge disappointment... I like Horimiya but this is way too fast, it feels like they've knows each other for like 3 months and they're already doing stuff like that
It's not a bad thing, I just personally don't like it. I guess they've been dating for more time than that, but it feels extreme rushed
I think this episode moved really damn fast compared to the first 6, and that threw me for a loop - Miyamura being gone for a whole week made the pacing make sense plot-wise, I guess, and I think Sota's scene was still a great moment, despite it feeling really squashed at the end but overall I still think this episode was awesome.
I already really liked Yuki, and this episode got me to feel for her even more.
(Edit: FORGOT, was gonna say the same thing for Sakura.)
1000000% gonna read the manga after this finishes airing, cause I can't get enough of it.
also DAMN Hori biting him's a little intense girl! XD
hurry up next Saturday I can't wait this long for another episode
Am I the only one who thinks they are rushing things? They explained 5 different issues in one episode:
Miyamura was gone for 5 days and Hori missed him, Yuki is probably in love with Tooru and Yuki's backstory, Sora said something along the lines of ''Don't steal my sister from me'' to Miyamura, and the last, ''I wanted miyamura to feel my warmth.'' from Hori.
5 different topics in one 23 minute long episode. Can one of the manga readers enlighten me: How many chapters did they spend on these topics? Because I think, they should've just told the 2 or 3 of these topics. Don't get me wrong, I loved this anime but aren't they rushing things a bit?
The Yuki thing was in a separate chapter. Also there's a lot of Yuki scenes missing from the anime, especially in comparison to Sakura scenes. That's why it may feel like Yuki x Toru pairing comes out of the blue.
The Souta thing originally did come after the bite scene. In the anime it makes sense to put it right before the credits. But the anime omitted the fact that Souta has actually seen them doing it and that's why he got insecure.
As for rushing - 7 episodes covered 37 chapters of the manga so it's a given things are rushed.
We could possibly get 24 episodes with more scenes but at the cost of production value. Or 12 episodes version where these scenes happen in the final episode.
