The ending arc felt very sudden and rushed....only me?
Felt the same way as well.
Nearing the end, it threw new characters that felt like could've made the entire thing more interesting (and new developments with existing characters, wink Aika wink), but having been added so late into the story made it feel like those characters were meant to explore more arcs.
At first, the story felt well-paced but they clearly hit the gas somewhere near the end. Then again, I don't usually read manga, but that's what I could at least echo for you.
I don't think only because it was resolved so easily means it was rushed.
Something there mirrored what Fuyuhiko tried to do when Aika appeared, taking it all in by himself so he can protect her, then you have Kanade doing something similar.
The solution here was quite easy due misunderstandings present that were so simple in nature that it was fixed by just talking it out. On top of the act of surprise and honesty and determination of Fuyuhiko and Kanade. I'm sure the family situation was purposely not mentioned for the act of surprise to the end, but something still implied Tusuku and Kanade are from a rich family in a way. I think the lack of background for Kanade's past was also intentional. You can easily make up a proper context with a little bit of knowledge you got about their family. Not everything has to be shown or straight up said, readers also have to put in effort to understand the Authors intention and why exactly he did things in the way he did. This is really important.
There is a real difference between a really rushed ending due axe / cancel and something that appeared to go by "faster" than you expected. I feel like people straight up say that everytime something is rushed if it was short / appears to be solved easily without thinking about the content... really a shame.
Btw I also think the absence of a real epilogue was intentional as well.
I would understand it if this Manga actually did include and build up future careers and stuff, a sudden epilogue showing characters to live in a random way that was just made up without build up would actually feel half assed ain't it?
So it is fine this way.
It had somewhat of a small epilogue and it was great.
I personally found the ending to be a really good fit.
And given how this series was written it also made sense. I mean why bother making now an extra long arc for that type of thing if it was purposely left out?
I think it is just fine the way it is, really showing off how much the characters have grown.
