PARALLEL MIND. Probably the coolest thing to have.
while the classmate part give me, someone mainly read the manga something new to see but they can drag out so much that it feel like our main is the B-plot.
also, rather sad they didn't give parallel mind different faces like in the manga and the spin-off. info body wearing glasses, body in charge with big white eyes, magic in charge always closed her eyes and finally one has > < face.
I didn't really get his point in how past Shun wasn't displaying traits that would lead to where he is now. MCKun (I shall call his Kirito self that for now) has these rose tinted glasses he sees everyone through.
I look forward to the moment where Fei ends up meeting Kumoko and realizing how big of a liar Oka is! Now there's no way to trust that anyone she said was "dead" is actually dead.
All the parallel minds! I feel like that new one may have been helpful in this fight, but I can understand why she shush'd her XD What a cliffhanger!! Next week....where are youuuuuuuu ;_;
Never trust Oka.
I went back to her scenes in the past episode and found something interesting. In episode 1 when Hugo ask if another student was reincarnated as monster Oka said "None of the 11 I have in elf village was reincarnated as a monster".
Back then at least I though that those 11 where the only ones she was aware but now we know that she's aware of pretty much every student.
Also, by the way of how she answered I wonder if she said the opposite in the 2 cases. As is Kyouya is the one that it's dead and just said that is alive to not make Shun and Katia sad, meanwhile Wakaba-san is alive but she said that she was dead to protect Shun & Co from her.
So... most of the episode was good, except for the part where Kumoko encountered the fire dragon.
You see... she was actually supposed to see mother and the fire dragon fight through telescopic sight. This scene intensifies her fear of mother and shows her just how much more powerful mother is.
Here's the scene leading up to the fight with the fire dragon from the manga if you're interested:

After seeing this I think you understand why this scene would have been great to have in the anime. I don't really like the adaptation because they leave out scenes like this, these scenes barely take up any time yet they add so much to the atmosphere and story.
Probably budgetary reasons. The fight against Rend is actually really well animated and I can't say for sure that would still be the case if they also had to animate Mother in all her glory fighting Rend and then injuring him so much that half his body was near destroyed. I hope this will be revealed soon though as it also leads on to Kumoko realising something about her mother's connection to her.
I agree with you on this, however I also think a big part of the problem is the studio that's making the anime.
I mean... yes... they have improved a lot since the disaster that was Berserk (2016) there's no doubt about that, however as seen in the fight against the vast numbers of Anogratch and the four Bagragratch they are still not very competent when it comes to making anime of this scale.
Quick edit (contains spoilers to Overlord):
Look at MADHOUSE and the battle in the final episodes of the third season of Overlord. Even if the animation quality was lacking they still managed to produce the correct atmosphere during the battle, unlike the battle referenced above this battle exerted how terrifyingly steep the difference in power between the kingdom and Ainz was.
