  yes exactly. One of the best fight scenes but plot is so rushed. Also I fucking hate the character designs so much. Idc if its unique or something but still its so annoying. The mc also pisses me off.

  The author himself admitted directly that the point of the manhwa and anime is just for the cool fights, and that the lore didn't really mean shit. I didn't know this before watching it and gave it a low score cuz the lore is hot garbage, but the fight scenes and animation are pretty good

  what are you even on about? ex arm isnt even underated its just flat out good and most people are able to realize that, whats even wrong with you ex arm is just the best anime ever. I havent even seen anyone online talk about actual reasons its bad just that they dont like it with no reason ever said. Ex arm is a master class in story telling. while some people think it's animation leaves something to be desired I just think they cant tell what they are looking at. Ex arm is a show about great sacrafice. YOu cant even comprehend waht good writing is. You should watch exarm. EXARM IS SUCH A GOD SHOW YOU SCRUB

  It's one of those cases where a whole lot of nothing happens. It all comes down to how you view the characters by the end of the series.

  I mean, you're not wrong. It just depends on the story. A lot of slice of life depends on your ability to almost immerse yourself within the cast. It's meant to make you feel like you grow with the characters (which I know sounds cliche and or cringe). It's a bit of a weird one because some people won't find a lot of things relatable which means you don't really recognise what the story's purpose is.

  I was struggling by ep 8 or so forcing myself to pay attention. Then I randomly stumbled across a thread on reddit that said they don't get together till way later (or they haven't yet in the source material.. can't remember properly). This made me drop it instantly.

  I mean they never confirmed that the science was actually happening for the most part, it was just Futaba theorizing as she's really into science. Her theories are just a way of understanding what's happening for both the characters and the viewers, even if they're wildly off.
  
  I'd compare the harem thing to what they did in Monogatari but I guess that wouldn't really work since you haven't seen it

  i want to give it a shot but I've heard that Nisio isin uses a lot of wordplay that non-fluent speakers of Japanese wouldn't get so I'm afraid ill miss out. what do you think?

  I will admit some of the jokes are rather hard to translate, they do a lot of wordplay with kanji radicals and stuff. I'd say it's still worth a shot as not fully grasping those jokes don't affect your experience too much, as long as you're chill with dialogue-heavy stuff.
  
  Here's the watch order a lot of people use (Kizumonogatari second)
  
  Or the novel watch order which is a bit more complicated but improves character arcs

  I dunno? That's the thing, I just didn'y enjoy what I was watching. It happens quite often tbh, a lot of action shows I find somewhat difficult to get through a lot of the time. I think with FMAB what also added on was extremely high expectations due to it being considered one of the best anime ever prior to me watching it myself, and since I no longer have expectations before watching/reading things. Honestly just found it difficult to complete and dropped it a good 3-4 times before actually following it all the way through.

  I believe FMAB improves as it progressess. It was hard getting into it but once I watched the first 5 episodes, I was hooked.
