Okay, i know this is gonna sound extremely goofy & dumb but i have no clue in the slightest of how to upload a good quality banner, its like i got the gist of it & i know what to do but everytime i try to upload one thats close enough to 1900x400 it ends up getting stretched or it comes out blurry. I see a lot of great profiles with a cool anime banner and it makes me jealous because this is something so simple, can someone like give me a good anime scenery banner or something because im getting so tired of trying.

I don't think it should stretch, do you mean it doesn't fit properly? Because different devices have different display scaling and aspect ratio, which means banners won't look the same on all devices, so if you have one with a more square shape, it might look weird. In terms of being blurry maybe your downloading a different version if you just use a preview of the image, and you got to realize that being scaled up no matter what will make an image blurry.

  Yes, it doesnt fit properly. a lot of pictures tends to get cut off even though they should fit since its to the size range. its confusing, i tried to resize them because i thought maybe then itll fit but it just doesnt. im not sure what im doing wrong or maybe its just because of the laptop im on? I dont really know for sure.

  Yeah there are a lot of different display resolutions, a common one is 1920x1080 which I am pretty sure the banner is meant to fit perfectly (not 100% sure on that though). On my device that is currently 1366x912 the banner has less width (or more height) and it would be vice versa for a wider screen. So a banner may look weird on one device, but will look normal on another which is probably the problem. Maybe just temporarily upload the banner and I can tell you how it looks on different resolutions

  Oh alright, cool. Thanks for telling me that, i thought for a second that all banners were 1900x400 because that was the recommended size or something? Idk, sounds kinda dumb. Let me see if i can find one real quick.

  I see you uploaded a new one and the quality is great. This is how it looks, the top one is 1920x1080 and the bottom is 1366x912

  ahh awesome! You've been a big help, I'm pretty sure i've got it all figured out now. I think ill keep my current banner until i find something else thatll fit my pfp, but other than that, thank you.

It should look fine on a 1080p screen, but if it does not on that then try scaling the image in Gimp or Photoshop.

It's inevitable that it will get rescaled unless you have a browser with a width of exactly 1900 pixels. Your best bet is to not worry about the quality too much; most anime-style artwork should look fine zoomed in a little bit.

  Yeah, i think ive got it down now, but it bothers me when some banners i like come out blurry for some odd reason, someone told me it'll probably show up different on other peoples pc's but it just irritates me & Im not sure how to fix that. i suppose youre right though, not that big of a deal.

hello! I have had this issue, still have it mind you.
But I use http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ to remove the blur for a less pixelated picture.
you could also use adobe premier/photoshop, not sure which software but there are some other options you could search for

  That looks as if it'd come in handy, i was trying to resize a picture the other day and i had so much trouble attempting to do it, it was a mess, this looks much more simple, thank you!
