Tell me everything! Tell me all about them and why you love them, if you want.
this is cringe as fuck but kirito and asuna from sao are very comforting to me....
lemme explain, sao is such a nostalgic show for me and whenever i watch it i feel more and more attached to the characters. even though the side ones suck so bad, and all their personality gets drained after they interact with kirito.... i still enjoy it.
i also feel very connected with maka from soul eater. i have such an appreciation for her, she is a different type of character in my eyes, and i haven't found any heroine written like her imo.
also rukia and Ichigo from bleach (nostalgia always comes to bite me in the ass)
Tamaki Amajiki, He's literally almost me. The way he acts and behaves reminds me of myself. Yuu Ishigami
is the second most similar to me
![]()
Ibuki Mioda, I really love her personality and design. She's in my top 5 best characters in the entire series
Senkuu Ishigami, I like smart ass characters and I read the manga, the things he has done so far are insane and good.
Rikka Takanashi, I love Chuunibyou characters and I really like her because of it
Satou Matsuzaka, I have a problem and that is that I actually love yandere characters. She is my most favorite yandere character so far
Hasuki Komai, I like characters like her. They are mostly positive and energetic. I would also like people like this irl. But not too optimistic
Sumi, cute as fuck and just a fun character
Levi, badass as fuck and hot as hell
Shinomiya, badass, cute, and far more developed than a lot of romcom characters
Nadeko, every scene with her is highkey hilarious except y'know when she tries to kill people
Kaiki, absolute legend, fucking amazing character
I'm just doing my top 10, because there are a lot of characters on my list

Some of my fav characters:
I really love his personality. The way he interacted with Shinji.. It was just perfect
At one time a audacious and carefree child and on the other side the god of freedom of his city.
At first an inexperienced child and then a hot guy. It's a nice character development
I've only finished reading Chainsaw Man today, but Angel Devil (and the whole manga in general) is really great. His laziness sometimes is really relatable
I think this speaks for itself
Futaba Rio from Bunny Girl Senpai
Is the cutest science girl I have ever bestowed my eyes upon. She's got the hot lab coat glasses look and her struggles are so relatable. Her negative self-tallk really reminds me of myself at times and seeing her battle with it gives me hope for myself that I can one day also not let my self-hate take over.
ᅠ
Jin Son from Bastard
The way that this boy fought against his circumstances and found happiness makes me so proud of him. The amount that he grows from the beginning of his respective series to the end is exponential and the fact that I was with him through his entire journey just makes me like him more. The contrast of his cute shy boy moments and his badass moments are the perfect blend to make an amazing cocktail of likability.
ᅠ
Nora from Noragami
In the anime adaptation all of her good characterization isn't shown yet but after catching up to the manga I saw who she really was: A child being manipulated to do terrible things. Her character is so beautifully tragic and I can't help but root for her
First of all, he's just super cool. Second of all, he's super interesting. His identity crisis is extremely compelling and the way it affects his character is super interesting to see. His comical persona also makes for such a lovable dynamic with Toga. I don't ship the two but man their friendship is so cute. ♡ ᅠ ᅠ
Shigaraki Tomura from MHA
I actually hated him a lot before accidentally spoiling his backstory for myself but that backstory changed my entire view of him. His weak and vulnerable past self going through all that trauma really hit deep for me and knowing that information and knowing how he became the person he is today I understand him a lot and developed a kind of affection for him. ♡
best girl Suika from Dr. Stone, first character from the anime that I fell in love with, instant smile with everything she does
the purest soul in the world, Kuroko Tetsuya from Kuroko no basket, makes me wanna pat his head everytime I see him
Guess I'll write a top 5, I do love talking about some of these guys:
Yellow from the Pokémon Adventure's Manga:
I remember reading the manga around 10 years ago now and didn't really know what to expect from her arc, but really grew to love her because she was kinda what I like in a character, Happy, carefree, somewhat naive but in a good way (she cried when her Ratata evolved because she didn't know it was a good thing) and even though she was a weak Pokémon trainer she had the ability to will her Pokémon to higher levels and was able to beat back Giovanni near the end even (which is one of my favourite tropes, weak vs strong turnabouts) though he was the better trainer. Yellow is also my favourite colour, and we share the same birthday which is really neat.
Justy Ueki Tylor from Irresponsible Captain Tylor:
In a similar way that Yellow is a person who is weak but turns things around through sheer willpower, I love Tylor for being a guy who turns things around through dumb luck. I'll always remember laughing for a solid 15 seconds during the reveal at the end of Episode 4 which was probably when I gave this anime a 10/10. The dude is just a happy, carefree, lucky individual who always seems to win and get what he wants despite being a complete idiot, everyone hates him but grows to love him for basically being a genius in what he does even though it's mostly by accident. As I've said before I love the trope of a weak character randomly pulling through thanks to dumb luck or some other turnabout, and Tylor is all about that.
Itou Kaiji from Kaiji:
When I watched Kaiji I didn't expect to love it as much as I did and the character of Kaiji really is the best part about it. The dude is smart, resourceful but most of all still very human. He never tries to screw people over despite having good reason to a lot of the time and in many cases going out of his way to save the lives of people he barely even knows. You can really feel for him as he barely passes the challenges given to him but also how awkward he can be in some situations. I wish I could be his friend because he seems like a great dude.
Kawato Koichi from Rookies:
There was something about this man that really resonated with me and I think it was how he was just another incredibly human being. The way he believed in every member of the baseball team and was always a happy, upbeat individual even when other people wouldn't. I loved how he asked the entire baseball team to help clear the field of weeds at 5am and when no one else came he started the job assuming they'll get there eventually. He never once thought that they wouldn't come and didn't give up on them after doing it for days and that's just beautiful along with the scene where he congratulated the other teams pitcher when the opposing coach wouldn't and he then confronted the coach about this issue without even thinking of the consequences of this somewhat threatening act. He was truly a great character and I love him for it.
Sanson from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
I always liked how Team Rocket esque these guys were and Sanson was very James like (who is also a favourite character of mine). I liked him for basically being a suave, strong and cool guy who always seemed to be part of fights and struggles where he'd be able to help the character's pull through. He was even someone who wanted to make Jean a stronger person for Nadia which was probably the first character to attempt to do so in the show. One of my favourite moments of this show was when the Nautilus should've been destroyed in a bombardment but Sanson and co were able to turn the tide of the battle THEY SHOULD'VE LOST by shooting the missile while it was in the firing tube, destroying it and saving the Nautilus in the process. No one on the opposing side could've expected that would happen which just makes the fact they defeated them all the sweeter.
Thank you so much for the explanations! I love characters like Tylor, they're so funny but also cool. Kaiji seems super sweet and Kawato. I love your taste in characters, they seem so caring and cool and also realistic. Also, it's so cool how you share a bday with Yellow, that must be the best feeling. Love ur list!!
Wei ying, i just feel so much attachment to him, like hes just one of my comforting characters since i love his personality so much,
I also really love Heesu cause he warms my heart up because of his adorableness. I just love him so much cause i can literally relate to him.
also Chika and Kyo. The fact both of them are voiced by one of my favorite seiyuus is great, their personalities are so similar honestly. I feel alot of attachment to them.

We have so much in common @Yunochan <3
Dazai Osamu and William James Moriarty lol
(I can't put photos... whyyy)
There's a manga adaptation of the last novel the real Osamu Dazai wrote before ending himself. It's semi-autobiographic.
No Longer Human
There's also a movie/4 episodes of anime about it.
No Longer Human
They're not the same person but if you're interested here it is.
