Sk Infinity episode 10 discussion [spoilers]

I’m happy that Reki is happy again and that he might be facing Adam again. It’s good if he faces Adam again since he is the main character so it would only make sense for him to go up against the antagonist. Also I’m glad that Rek affirmed that giving up on skating just because others are better than him is stupid. Reki blushing at the end was so cute and when Langa said they were gonna skate together for infinity, my heart burst. Let’s be honest since Adam sees reki as an opponent for Langa’s love in a way, doesn’t it make it clear that Reki and Langa are for eachother, I feel it just confirms that they are in love.

WHY DID TADASHI BRING REKI TO THE LOVE HOTEL?? ?? but im so glad that reki and langa have fixed things it was painful to watch them be seperated and grow sadder apart. a bit worried on what ADAM is planning for the next episode,,,,I wonder if hes planning to throw reki in the bracket.

  I don’t hate Adam because I personally think he is a very well written antagonist and I just can’t bring myself to hate him. People always seem to reduce his character to a pedo or sum which obviously isn’t a point and they probably show us his backstory to show us why he’s the way he is. “People are products of their environment”

  Yeah especially since Tadashi gave him skating and that was everything to him basically but then it was taken away from him. I’m still curious as to what happened in America that made Adam come back different

How many people are going to the hospital?
I thought Reki was gonna die, I really thought the fricking love hotel was the afterlife and I was gonna scream. Btw, why tf did Tadashi bring Reki to a love hotel?
Younger Reki and Langa were so cute, even though Reki didn't change that much. Adorable.
FINALLY THEY MADE UP! Their laughs are so precious I can't- (really thought there was gonna be a confession)
Istg Adam, "Wedding blues" "I don't appreciate you looking at others" Langa ain't yours! He's a M I N O R. Back off Dio Hisoka Tsukiyama hybrid. Someone, please put him in jail

The first half was kind of angsty ngl. I kept on pausing throughout the episode, it took me about 45 minutes to finish ^^;
Anyways, I'm content, kind of, tho I'm scared for next week. What is Adam gonna do to them? Really worried for Reki. They were just happy, let them be happy T-T

- tadashi and reki in a love hotel wasn't expected, but definitely appreciated
- i'm very happy with reki's conclusion. he didn't choose to be support yet he realized he doesn't have to be the best. he can just skate for fun, not to win
- however, it is now 100% clear that it's queerbaiting. i can't lie - i was hoping for some romance as another layer for reki and langas realationship. but after this episode, especially after langa compared "the feeling" caused by reki to the one caused by his dad, its pretty certian that it was all just good old "i love you but no homo bro"
- i feel like both shadow and miya are wasted potential, they are actually interesting characters. i wish the show explored their realationship with reki (and langa) more.
- ADAM is getting creepier and i don't like it

  i was thinking the same about the third point. also, the "i want to skate with you forever" reminded me of a scene from "free" (which is definitely the personification of queerbait), i thought the confession would be a bit more personal and less involved with skating. although, i do tend to enjoy these kinds of relationships more than straight up romance because it feels meaningful.
  but also, i think something more may happen between them in these next couple episodes because of what adam has planned! and I'm sure that scene with langa and his mom in episode 8 still has some kind fo importance? i'm not sure

I love the fact that Joe knows that Cherry likes Italian food more than Japanese food, if that isn't soulmates idk what is. Also, Adam can now be sued for stalking, disgusting creep. He belongs in the ranks of Orochimaru and Hisoka. Tadashi deserves so much better.

  i thought the same with you when i first watched sk8. im not sure about it bc there are some points in my mind that make me curious. reki had a friend who was injured by skating. they showed us one scene that he's in the hospital and there is a lgbt flag in that room. i think it was intentional and was one of the first things that make me confused about this anime. on the other hand maybe langa's love is all about the comparing the feelings when skating with reki to his dad's when snowboarding with his dad, idk. i want to believe they are in love tho ^^

  It actually wasn’t an lgbt flag in the hospital it was senbazuru which is 1000 paper cranes and one occasion they are used for to wish someone I’ll a good recovery

  up until the last episode there was no prof that reki or langa love each other they pointed that they love to skate with each other, langa want to feel the some feeling he felt when he was with his father and reki want a friend who enjoy sakateboarding with him like his old childhood friend

Best moment was when Reki woke up in a love hotel lmao. I'm guessing Tadashi chose a love hotel for privacy or for convenience. I'm assuming it's the former? Love hotels offer privacy and anonymity. Still hilarious.

Aw, Reki's family are so cute. I wish we could see more of them.

I'm glad he and Langa are together again! So relieved that he hasn't given up on skating.

honestly I think the idea that you can do something just because you enjoy it, even without trying to be the 'best' or getting something tangible out of it (like money or fame), is a really nice lesson for a sports anime ^^

- why on earth did Tadashi take Reki to a love hotel of all places? and how did he even manage to get a 17 year old into a love hotel with a grown man in a suit?

  I love the foreshadowing/referencing and parallels in this anime it’s so fun. Also Tadashi probably took reki to a love hotel because it was closest also they pay hourly so it’s cheaper. Also from reading a lot of manga teenagers being in love hotels isn’t really like “weird” I guess I don’t know how to word it but I hope you understand what I’m saying

i have a feeling that the next episode would be a beef between adam and reki. the next episode title is "King V.S Zakko" with zakko translating to "worthless fish" or something along those lines. the only people adam can genuinely have a consolation beef with is miya and joe, but neither of them could be described as a worthless fish bc it just doesn't fit them. that nickname (sadly) describes reki's arc right now, so it makes sense. another possibility is that adam could make the consolation match into reki vs joe (joe also fits the nickname "king" if you set adam aside), and whoever wins the beef will compete against adam, but i doubt that'll happen. anyways, im just so glad to see reki's smile again but also kinda sad bc miya lost against tadashi :( on another note, did you guys see how concerned joe was while he screamed for cherry after his beef with adam? istg they're married LMFAO
