What did you think of the episode?
WHAT DID I JUST WATCH LMAO. What a joke of a finale...
Yep, this finale was a joke and not even a good one...
Even without knowing the Manga, this season and especially the finale felt so incredibly rushed... What a waste of potential. The travel, planning and attack against the royals could've been an entire season worth of content, if not more.
The whole episode felt like the 2 year jump in SAO. Why trash so much content, just to rush the whole story? The first season was a masterpiece, every scene, every word was OOZING with meaning, with so many plot twists that M. Night Shyamalan would be envious of it. But this season? good god...
Season 2 can be summed up with 3 words: unneeded jump cuts.
Welp, we did it, guys. We just finished one of the worst follow-up seasons to an acclaimed television show ever created. Truly rivals season 8 of both Dexter and Game of Thrones. That musical slideshow near the end sure was pretty, wasn't it? Would've preferred a fully fleshed out and animated arc explaining what took place within those three minutes but the writers probably would've messed that up, too. At least this way they mercifully euthanized the show before it could suffer any longer.
I'm gonna pretend this didn't happen lmao
Sorry I'm French if the translation is not perfect ^^
Overall the anime was really good, no complaints about season 1 which is just gorgeous, unfortunately season 2 which doesn't follow the manga was a big mistake! Because as the author says, season 2 will be original, and in no way related to the manga. Unfortunately I can't help but have been mistaken for a pigeon! Season 2 boils down to an end rush copy paste of the manga which dares to end its season on images, events impossible to remove and which creates enormous inconsistencies at the end of the series! I especially think that the anime ran out of time or money, because messed up at this point the season strongly overwhelms me. I wanted to read the manga to form my own opinion and I strongly recommend it, especially to understand the fairly massive inconsistencies in the animate
I'm just so disappointed. I read the manga, thought it was a masterpiece, then watched the anime. I liked season 1 a lot, it adapted the manga amazingly. All I can hope for is that they redo it maybe. They could probably adapt the manga really well in like 3 or 4 more seasons, so I just hope at some point that happens. Though I won't get my hopes up. It's just truly a shame. I legitimately feel bad for the anime-onlys because they may not ever be able to experience the greatness that is The Promised Neverland in it's entirety. At least it's over now though. Back to watching good anime.
So disappointed. I thought under before the last couples of minutes that we could have a season 3 with all the Goldy Pont, Lucas, Queen, the new promise thing, like, it was actually a pretty good idea.
But nop, that did with slideshow at the end that was worse a lot of ep (if not a full season to me tbh)
They could have at least gave us the name of the god please xDD
Still think that by following the manga, we could have had 4 seasons
s2 > Goldy pont arc
s3 > The new promise arc
s4 > The queen/new reign arc + the end
well um i personally liked it im glad we at least got something instead of nothing it was hella rushed it couldve gladly had more episodes but what i think happened was that for example when a manga is popular but then loses sales at some point then the higher ups tell them to finish it in that time that they tell them to finish it ive heard that from somewhere not sure if its correct tho it was what most likely happened
never the less im not mad at the ending its exaclty what i pictured
Oh wow. That was hilariously bad.
Feel bad for the animators who had to work with the rubbish writing and, going by the ending slideshow montage, you can tell they were pressed for time.
Only good things from the finale were:
Ratri's suicide
Emma and Phil scenes
I doubt we'll be getting any more content in the future
This anime had such a STRONG first season and this... this ending... was so frustating to watch.
The last 3 mins was basically screaming "Better go read the manga cause all this cool stuff you're seeing... will probably make sense to a manga reader, not an anime only fan" Never before have I dropped a rating of an anime on this website so fast. table flip
