Thoughts on the ending of B: The Beginning Succession

somebody explain, the cliff-hanger at the end of B: The Beginning Succession was extremely disappointing. season 1 of the show was amazing and now idk how to feel about this.

Honestly, I just watched this anime for the fight scenes and because I didn't want to follow class. The plot is so weird and incomprehensible. Same thing with the ending, it doesn't feel like an ending, so confusing.

  I have not seen season 2 but when I watched season 1 the plot was pretty clear to me and was well written

It feels like half a season really. Needed another 6 episode to have some kind of conclusion to it. The season wasn't bad they just ended it before it was finished

I feel that actually nothing even happened on this season.
Really, what was the plot? Some guy that was introduced in this season betrayed the king, which was also introduced in this season. Side effects of that? None. Did any major (or even minor) character had any meaningful progression? No, not really (maybe Keith admitting his love for his step sister, but that was implicit from season 1).
Did anyone even die? Nope
The world is the same in episode 6 as it was in episode 1.

That cliffhanger was veryy unexpected. I think there will be a part 2 or season 3. I don’t think they will leave us hanging like that

  First season was about an investigator in the police force unraveling a supernatural plot in the search of a serial killer, with beautifully animated fights. The plot was deeply related to both the serial killer and the investigator backstories and full of character progression.
  
  This season, the main character calculates his odds of surviving jumping of a tower over 6 episodes. Instead, we focus on the serial killer fighting a bunch of barely introduced characters with no discernable personality in poorly animated fights. The plot is irrelevant, unrelated to any character we know anything about, and everything ends exactly as it started. If they made a season 3, you could jump season 2 by accident and not notice.

Saved me a watch, I loved the first season for the suspense and thriller/mystery. Wasted potential to another boring action sequence for normies I guess.

  No really, what happened? Was the plot just cut short halfway through? Why did they just copy over the opening from season 1? Why'd it end midway through a fight where we didn't even really understand the motives of the characters. They threw around a ton of buzzwords that I don't remember being explained in season 1. They also had like 2-3 fights every single episode, I feel, instead of actual plot. The chick at the start of episode 6 said she's just stalling for time, but it felt like the directors/writers themselves were stalling for time. I am just confused what the point of this season was.
