Which anime series went on way too long and just became a chore to sit through and finish? Can't name One Piece since that's literally the easiest one to say.

  The villain was lack luster ,the fights got a downgrade, there wasn’t any good reason to care about the plot since seasons 2 plot was extra ambitious and delivered and overall I am not a fan of plot armor which season 3 has

Maybe Fairy Tail. I enjoyed it, a lot but I feel like maybe they could've done more with the plot and characters. It also didn't need 327 episodes.

  Oh my gosh, right!?! its sooo goood! the music in this anime is so amazing.. and tbh I don't hear/see a lot of ppl talking abt the whole thing in general, which is rly sad because its such a master piece.

  For me it has to be Yu-Gi-Oh. Its been on for over 20 years but thats not really the problem. I knew fully about the og series,GX and 5'ds and Zexel even though I did not watch it. Keep in mind I knew all of this before I even knew anime was a thing but years later i discover theres like 5 series after Zexel and I never heard of any of them until early 2020. Really feel like they just need to end it already the first three series where the prime of Yu-Gi-Oh its just money grab at this point

  I just realized Yu-Gi-Oh in terms of the concept has been on longer then One Piece it came out in 1998. The original series ended but the show is still ongoing with sequels. Thats insane

  Wouldn't recommend. It's pretty much the worst parts of the manga made shittier. Full arcs and characters cut in order to cover around 100+ chapters in an 11 episode season....

  Just out of curiosity, why do you think LWA should've been kept to one season? From what I see from Anilist, it was the og movie, this season, and one other movie (besides some cameos.) If anything, I'm a bit surprised looking at it now that it wasn't milked for content like other popular series are, and that it hasn't gotten a second season. Was it just overhyped back when it first started coming out?
  
  I mostly ask this because One Piece and Food Wars are completely understandable, but I've never heard someone say there's too much LWA content

  I just felt that it started getting filler-y around the middle of the season and I personally got bored of it. The whole story could have been told in 14 episodes instead of 25 and it would have been better in my opinion.
