  lol no he's the protagonist the story is based on him. The title is literally him. Just because he's evil in some people's eyes doesn't make him the antagonist. That would make those people the protagonist and I know you're not trying to say Gabi is the protagonist.

  You can argue that he's no longer the protagonist after a certain point of the story in the manga. It's hard to call him one when all the events are no longer depicted from his point of view

  Eren will always be the protagonist of the story, no matter what he does. Protagonists are predominantly the focus of attention for the story. Even if he becomes a villain, depending on people's perspectives, he's still the main focus of the story.

  Exactly, being antagonist has nothing to do with being a good person or a bad one. It's just an opposition, and since we see things from Eren's perspective him being the antagonist is impossible, as he is the protagonist, the person whose story the viewers follow

  A protagonist doesn't necessarily mean that they are the "good guy". You can still view Eren as evil, bad or whatever, but he is still the main character (protagonist) of the story. An antagonist is literally defined by being opposed to the protagonist.

  Like a lot of people have said, Eren cannot be an antagonist, he's the protagonist of the story. A protagonist can be a hero or a villain, it does not matter. The only thing that defines a protagonist is that they're the leading character: the story revolves around them. Meanwhile, an antagonist is a character that opposes the protagonist. For example, Light Yagami from Death Note is the protagonist, although a lot of people see his actions as evil. In that story, L is the antagonist, regardless of if you think his actions are good.
