Why is this sort of response permitted on a wiki that accepts and expects USERS to create anime, manga, and character entries with their own images and descriptions?
Images should go on a vote linked on the character page, in the spirit of user-submitted content, saves time for mods reviewing images and removes personal bias from moderators.
If its only up to a mod, then there's gonna be absolute bias.
I can think of quite a couple times where a good number of
people were annoyed with a character's changed profile pic.
Dazai is the biggest example that comes to mind.
This idea makes so much more sense.
I hope this goes through.
First of all, I would like to apologize to the recipient on the behalf of the team. With our current restrictions regarding character images, there are bound to be bias with what gets accepted - it’s only in our nature.
We currently don’t plan on implementing a voting system. Instead, we ask users to resubmit the image explaining why it should be uploaded over the current image in their submission notes. There has been instances where a simply explanation changed a data mod’s opinion.
