I read all 2 chapters I'd give it a 8.5/10. What do you gusy think?
I think there's serious potential with those one. For once, the annoying slice-of-life tropes aren't occurring giving me a feeling that the author wants to create something memorable. We are just 9 chapters in so this might change very easily. Lastly, what I really want to see is exploring sports a little bit more after the initial characters have enough characterization.
I caught up yesterday from chapter 1 to 21, and I like it a lot. It doesn't accelerate super fast, character reactions are NOT over the top for once, there isn't huge boob shots or panty shots or ecchi in scenes, reactions are toned down and reasonably realistic, and the characters are refreshingly down-to-earth.
I see some people criticize it for being boring. I suppose not a ton has happened, but it is only 20 ish chapters in, and the main two characters both have clear goals they're working toward, plus we're seeing the way the triangle is developing with budding feelings.
It's very good, and I expect it'll get an anime soon. I haven't read/watched a down-to-earth sports romance this good since Baby Steps/some Mitsuru Adachi works.
8/10 for me because it's supposed to be a sport manga but there barely any explanation on the sports (badminton, basketball and gymnastics) so that's the only complaint i have for now. I do enjoy the panels of taiki competing but i wished it could center more time on matches like other sports manga. The plot is more centered on the relationship of the characters which i dont mind. It's a cute rom-com and a fun read
