Both anime are adapted by the same Studio and have amazing animation. In terms of the story and the plot, which seems to be better? One more thing, I am only talking about Fate/Zero, so don't remove any points from Fate just because it's a clusterfuck and very hard to get into. This should be a One on One Clean Battle between Fate/Zero and Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer has infinitely more likeable characters and a better soundtrack. Fate has a more intricate plot.
It's all personal preference but I'd rewatch DS before I rewatch Fate Zero.
Fate Zero has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in any anime. DS didn't really have anything that remarkable in that department. As for characters... Fate maybe doesn't aim to have likable ones but at least doesn't have annoying characters. Can't tell the same about Kimetsu no Yaiba, unfortunately.
I disagree entirely. DS has one of the most unique and recognizable soundtracks I've ever heard. Meanwhile I couldn't tell you a single track from Fate Zero.
I also don't find anyone in DS to be annoying. That's just your personal opinion lol.
oh your talking about likable characters.
fate zero still wins easily actually
theres not one character im fond of in the series accept the slumberous lighting guy and the demon Micheal Jackson, every other character is either annoying or imbecilic.
DS has ok sound this is all based on the scene on ep 19
are you telling me this soundtrack is bad????
My guy, chill out lol. I wasn't even responding to you.
And I listened to the fate zero soundtrack, and it's quite good. But imo Demon Slayer's is more unique and more memorable. And no, it's not all based on episode 19. The insert song was really well done, but I'm talking about the rest of the ost as a whole. It's just my opinion, don't get too worked up about it.
I'd say the only advantage Demon Slayer has in this fight is that it has Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson hasn't been summoned in Fate (yet).
is touching minors a skill or his noble phantasm
I'm no Michael Jackson fan but honestly, dude is dead. Never found guilty of those charges. Left us with an awesome music legacy. Just let this media narrative die.
I just thought it was funny lol
It was. But I still feel bad for him. Miserable death.
@cosninety
totally, American media and the personalities in it are truly hypocritical (Oprah cough cough)
ngl Demon slayer aint sht in comparison to fate/zero , its better in every aspect , Demon slayer is just a boring dororo + akame ga kill rip off Shounen in which mc just uses will power to win , it just got lucky to have ufotable . Fate/zero on the other hand excels in plot , animation , fights , logic , everything in fate verse is far superior to demon slayer.
@RustyNail06 Demon slayer is the most overrated sht i ve seen
I'm a big Fate-head, so I may come off as a bit biased, but I'm going to give you my very honest opinion on both of the shows and how they compare.
Fate/Zero alone is one of the greatest prologues of all time, period. A lot of people complain that there is too much dialogue or it was too boring. I understand where you are coming from, but that just means you just want to see a bunch action, go watch a shounen. The dialogue in F/Z did such an amazing job at expanding on and highlighting every single one of the character's philosophies and motivations on why they want the Holy Grail. The conflicting ideologies of what it means to be a king is one of the few and greatest scenes shown in anime ever. Kiritsugu's ideals to become a hero of justice, believing that it is ok to sacrifice people to save a greater number of people, makes him such an amazing character. There is so many other inner character conflicts and scenes I could mention, but I think you get the gist. Some people may call the whole Fate series pseudo bullshit, but that's what I personally believe makes Fate in general so amazing.
If you compare F/Z to Demon Slayer, it hardly stands a chance against it. I believe that F/Z is more for mature audiences who want to further endive into its series lore and characters, while Demon Slayer is more for those looking for a somewhat comedic yet semi-serious shounen with the beautiful animation of ufotable. To give a little praise to Demon Slayer, it's characters are a nice breath of fresh air. Tanjiro's brotherly personality and willingness to never give up on anyone is admirable and I think gets shaded upon the comedic relief characters in the background like Zenitsu and the Boar. Overall it's story compared to Fate is a generic copy pasta and can be found in a lot of other shounens. Obviously the animation is done by ufotable, so it's obviously going to be amazing. Though the art style itself is a bit playful with the dark outlines which enhances it's comedy. Other than that I would say Demon Slayer is nothing too special and gets heavily over shined because of its overwhelming popularity.
To sum it up Fate/Zero>Demon Slayer 100%
(Also it's really not that hard to get into the series. Just watch Fate/Zero>Unlimited Blade Works>Heaven's Feel movies. After that watch whatever kind of spinoffs you want. I don't understand why it's 'hard to get into' or a 'clusterfuck')
So.. You really explained it huh? That was really Great, and You are 100% correct. I couldn't spot any error in that if I tried. Fate/Zero is better than Demon Slayer it seems. Thank you very much for your Answer
And yea btw, It's really easy to get into it now. People just get confused cuz of the Spin-Offs and because They don't understand that Fate's a visual novel and has Unlimited Bladeworks and Heaven's feel etc. as different endings
you're supposed to watch zero after HF
Can't tell if you joking, but that's one of the many watch orders. You can even go UBW>HF>F/Z. Some argue that F/Z spoils a lot of major things and background information for UBW and HF, hence reasoning why some people save it for last.
For those getting into the show, starting w/ F/Z gives them an amazing introduction and gives them a somewhat basic yet fulfilling understanding to the world and why things happen in UBW and HF. This helps them get a bit more comfortable with the series and little less confused when going to watch UBW and HF.
Of course, the 'F/Z first watch order' is technically the chronological order. But in saving F/Z for last, it helps explain the motives and plot holes not explained in UBW and HF.
So to sum it up, yes you can watch HF before, but it really depends on the person and how they want to enjoy the show. You can watch it any way you want, but this watch order (F/Z>UBW>HF) is the easiest to help you just dip your feet into the whole franchise.
Well there isn't a good adaption of the fate route so people only have two options.
What does the fate route adaptation sucking ass have to with having to with watching zero first, Zero literally spoils something MASSIVE from HF in episode 1
Yeah I don't agree with watching Fate Zero first, but it honestly does a better job at explaining the holy grail war and some context a lot better than unlimited blade works, this is because in the visual novel, most of the basic info dumps happen in the fate route, UBW rushes through explanations, because you were already supposed to know the context after viewing the first route. since the fate route anime sucks and would give people a poor impression of the series. Zero is the best place to start untill Ufotable adapts the fate route.
Very subjective and difficult to compare.
I liked the pacing in Demon slayer more.
Fate/zeros first episode, which unexpected was 40minutes long and felt like a summary of everything i need to remember for the other episodes, was something i didn't like at all xD
Besides that Story and Charas are great
I vote for demon slayer because of the pacing and because it's easier to get into
