[Spoilers] Super Cub - Episode 6 Discussion

Nice little adventure

Just Koguma and Reiko riding around and smiling was so nice, and was such a simple yet powerful moment. It is interesting to see how their friendship had developed over the episodes.

The series thus far has been just amazing, it has been patient, taking things slowly, having next to none dialogue and allowing for us to connect emotionally. We see the feelings of Koguma not through her dialogues but rather through her expressions which is much more valuable. Also every time the colours change and become more saturated, my jaw just drops because how effective every such moment is.

For the future, I don't even care (in a good way). Like if they just continue chilling and talking, it would be just fine by me. However, I think we will get to see the third character from the OP soon, and I am really excited to see what dynamics the third character brings to the cast, and in which direction will the show move on.

a massive step up from last episode!

This episode was particularly nice. Watching Koguma road trip in the Cub was amazing as she just went ahead.

Also, as a fan of Bunny Girl Senpai, when I read Kamakura and Enoshima I was desperately looking for references. Might not have found any at first glance, but the scenery was nice.

Also, check the car parked on the right in the first image. Possibly a reference to the Devil Z from Wangan Midnight?

Reiko and Koguma have become such good friends, and I loved seeing how Reiko was right there when Koguma was being scolded and they gave each other that look. However, it sucks to me how they left out a fair bit about Reiko's Cub breaking. I feel like it was too vague. Hopefully we'll get clarification next week.

Losing interest on an anime you were enjoying sucks, but unfortunately it happened to me with Super Cub.
I was really enjoying it up until episode 4, but then episode 5 came out and it was so unrealistic and absurd that it completely ruined my enjoyment. Super Cub is an anime that is fairly realistic and relaxing, an episode like that has absolutely no place in it, so I was expecting things to get back on track with episode 6 and all I got instead was a reminder that Super Cub is basically a Honda advert disguised as anime, making me feel like it's not worth watching it anymore.
I'll give episode 7 a try when it comes out, but I don't have any hopes it will win me back.
Not even Koguma's precious smile could save this anime for me. A shame, really.
