She was the only girlfriend he has had his entire life, and that was pretty much the selling point of interest as to why he wanted to save her (also his interaction with her in Episode 1 which reminded him of how nice and caring she was). Good for you. Nobody's forcing you to watch it so just drop the show if you have a problem with it. A lot of time travel related anime have the protagonist being a bit creepy or a "pedophile" as you describe it. So if you don't like those things, either stop watching time travel anime or suck it up and ignore it.

u missed the point by a land slide the entire point is ur physical age matters not ur mental age... thus someone mentally 16 in a 20 y/o body can't have relations with a 16 year old, thus someone mentally 25 in a 16 year old body can't have alcohol, someone mentally 6 but 25 cant have relations with people under 18...
That's exactly what I thought about that case. Takemitchy at the beginning of the story was not really a standard and exemplary adult. He was almost a "teenage man", so to speak and taking into account that his first and only girlfriend was Hinata and the point where he was in life, it is safe to assume that he had not fully matured in the 12 years that passed between the end of the relationship with her and the point at which she died. Not even his 26-year-old design suits his age.

I can definitely sympathize with your opinion here, BUT I will say that at least Takemichi and Hina were dating in the past. If they had never dated, and he had dated Hina in this new timeline, then yeah, I would say it's weird. If it really bothers you that much, just drop it. Like I said before, I would usually agree with this, but they dated when he was younger, so this is really more of him just re-living it. I definitely respect your opinion, but I don't see this as a case of pedophilia.
