I want to watch part 4 and 5 of JJBA but I cannot seem to like the 1st part. Any advice/suggestions?
I watched the first 3 episodes of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure but I cannot seem to like it. I have a prior knowledge of some of the most famous characters, what are stands and etc. I really like the part 7 of this which happens in alternate universe but the part 1 is the one keeping me away from this series to fully watch and read it. Thanks in advance for those who will give their advice or opinion.
The part 1 isnt that good. BUT DONT DROP IT. The series start to take place when Kujo Joutarou enters the show. Stay with it. I also didnt like the first part. But I am a lucky person cz I happen to watch jjba
part 1 was bad specially since it was written in the 80s but id say part 2 was decent and the main character was the best imo but part 3 is where its amazing , dont drop it as part 1 plays a major role in part 3 its only 9 episodes
what?! this make no sense, it's bad bc it was written in the 80s? wtf does that have to do with anything. if u didn't like it just say that u didn't don't try to justify not liking it bc it was written in the 80s.
Ahh, dont say it like that. He didnt mean that. He was tryna tell that the atmosphere and the mentality of part 1 was like that cz it was written in that time. Yk, things changes, coolness changes. I hope I made sense XD
ahh icic mb, i totally understand bc the atmosphere was rly dark at times but it was still pretty good imo
what im saying is that the way things are written are different , there are certain shows that leave impacts in the way future shows are made . character quirks change , its very different that todays type of anime . anime troupes , the way arcs are written are different . the structure of story telling .
part 1 is def the most difficult barrier, i dont blame you.
in my opinion, you should watch it if you're anime-only, but skip a couple of episodes to make it go by faster since some stuff could be considered filler/not important to know.

i actually havent gotten that far into the series, ive only watched up til the beginning of part 5
i enjoyed most of the parts aside from part 1 and 5, but im going to read the manga to re-experience the story before i move onto part 6 and onwards.
but yeah, watching/reading all parts are still important to get the necessary context even if you already know about stands and the like lolspoiler edit: i forgot the exact episodes i skipped for part 1, but i know it's somewhere midway with the heroes fighting zombies in a graveyard, which isn't all that important imo
Yeah part 1 can be so boring and I didnt like it either but it is the foundation of the upcoming parts so you should not skip it. Keep watching part 1 because it will help you understand things in the later parts. Even if you have some prior knowledge, all that matters is the storyline. You have to watch it in order to understand the story. I wouldn't force you to watch it if you're that bored but never skip parts.
Thank you for this I guess I have to endure the part 1 as it is only 9 episodes if what other people says was correct. I will never skipped any part as all parts is important to build up the next part if I'm correct.
1st part is absolute dogshit, finish pt 1 than watch pt 2 if you still hate it then just drop it. But its a universal law that jojo pt 1 is the worst one and pretty shite
i agree that pt 1 is the worst but it was not bad, it explained everything well, gave you good background knowledge on characters and it was only 9 episodes. stfu u fake JoJo's fan
now i'm starting to feel like the only person the really liked pt 1, also pt 4 and pt 5 are not the best ones lol, pt 2 is the best one imo. pt 1 is only 9 episodes too so you'll be fine if u just keep going.
Part 7 was the best in my opinion but some says part 4 and 5 was also great so I'm interested. Looking forward on part 2 if I can finish the part 1.
i really liked pt 1 and thought it gave a lotta helpful info enev though it was only 9 episodes, pt 1 is what rly got me hooked bc if i didn't like pt 1 i wouldn't have watched the best pt and i wouldn't have met the most overpowered JoJo's mc
Same! I actually enjoyed part 1 a bit, if I'm being honest the part I don't really like is 4. I disagree with part 2 being the best, I think it's 3, but 2 is still amazing
for me i was able the binge pt 1 and pt 2 in 1 day but when i got to pt 3 i had to slow down and watch a few episodes a day bc it made me fall asleep, don't get me wrong it was an amazing pt but it was just not bingeable for me. same goes for pt 4 and pt 5
Fair enough. I was able to binge p2 in a day, and it actually took me longer to watch p1 than p3 because while it was good I won't lie it was kinda bland so I took my time compared to p3.I was able to get through p4 relatively quickly, but other than Kira episodes I was pretty bored of it.
i dont like part 1 as much anymore, but i did enjoy somewhat it first time watching the series
i just wish it was adapted better, and it still pales in comparison to other partsi agree that it’s not as good as the others but it’s not bad enough for everyone to be saying that it’s “dogshit” or “the biggest barrier” like it was still rly good
Same. I actually liked P2 the most, I didn't like P3 and P4 as much as the others.
i rly like pt 4 but pt 2 was definitely my favorite, it had the second best JoJo's mc (Jotaro is my fav) and definitely the funniest mc. Joseph was just an amazing overall character and his pt complimented him perfectly
