Are the One Piece 3 in 1 volumes wroth buying?

I was thinking about buying the single volumes that have been released in my country but some of them are ridiculously expensive. For example, you can't find the first 5 volumes for less than 70 R$ each, the same thing for the English version, which are even more expensive in some cases. It really sucks living in a developing country.

I'm in a situation similar to yours, I could buy up to 40 volumes of the omnibus version for the same price as the box set. I think it's worth asking for the first 12 volumes (East Blue Saga) as a birthday gift next month.

Yeah, I was just a bit concerned about the quality because I've seen a lot of people saying it sucks. But if I really wanna buy the manga, I think that's the only option I have atm.
