What did you think of the episode?
How did the demon lord use an anti-magic barrier? Isn't that Potimas's thing? Also, should they really be wasting their time with the comedy scenes? There's still a lot of things and only 2 episodes left.
I actually expect for there to be more filler and skits. The battles in the light novels lasted like two chapters for the war of Ohts and Keren County (And the subsequent Kumo vs Ariel fight) and Two chapters for the elven kingdom in general.
It makes me question why they cut so much content from other places if there was quite an obvious timeframe that they have to fill somehow in the end.
i liked when they used the same footage twice within a minute
Budget problems maybe?
more like time constraints.
They had all the time in the world since they opened it by going the lazy CGI route. They could have also went on break like a few other shows if it was an issue.
This reeks of money problems...the CGI Rotation stutter with Hugo and whatshisface after having them hand drawn and then ending on a drawn frame after coming in from some camera trickery (not animated) CGI scene.
Still weird how Kumo's CGI is leaps and bounds better than anyone elses with exclusion of earlier CGI beasts.

not really, maybe if it was covid related and the prefecture they were in under lockdown they could've justified a delay. but the tv spots there are sanctimonious and are strictly followed through. they have to deliver the episode on time or they won't be able to air it again, or pay an extremely prohibitive cost to reair it another time.
in fact this issue was what troubled production of wonder egg the most and why its last episode is being broadcast months later after its original airing. money can only help so much.
Makes sense, but In the end, I would rather wait a year for a great plot and animation, than 3 months for a s**t manga adaption.
Did the studio suddenly ran out of money? What's with the whole drop in quality in the last and this episode?
I hope they are saving up for last episodes, to make them as grand as possible.
From what some people said in previous episode discussions, there are two studios doing the anime. One does the spider/Kumoko part, the other does, you've guessed it the Shun side.
This explains my post a few minutes ago...

Seems I was on to something.
EDIT: I will, however, point out that the Demon Lord CGI model is absolute GARBAGE. Animation, shading, rigging looks like VRChat levels of basic...hope that isn't main-team's work.
it doesn't have to be out of money, it could just simple because they run out of time since they need to animated thing since not like anime usually took months or year to make, they usually rush it to meet the deadline.
So it is quite normal for anime to have few eps with vastly drop in quality for TV airing then take they time redo it for Blue-ray.
i certainly enjoy how cheerful and clearly enjoy the whole thing the Demon Lord show in this arc. The whole part with the HP bar kinda stupid though, why did you even make it so her HP dropped so hard in one scene then heal herself so much after. Let it slowly drop a bit then heal faster would make more sense to look at than Kumo using basic magic atk and manage to cut down 2/3 of Demon Lord's HP.
Then again, the HP bar in this show always do whatever it please.
plenty of action in Kumoko part, then move to human part where they just talk and talk and talk until the episode end. lol
extra stats from the queen taratect made Kumo a lot tougher. Still at a disadvantage, but she can fight better with the demon lord now.
almost at the final.. but this anime still has not motivated me to buy anything. Well, I guess that's money saved.
