For me it was Fma, everyone said it was great. I know the story and the characters are very good, but i personally didn't like it, but really tried to. What about you?
Edit: I accidentally selected a random manga as a category
death note. i watched the first two episodes and was like "meh." maybe i'll give it another go someday...
deciding from the first 2 episodes is a bit misleading, like we are talking about a 37 episodes long show and i don't think just 2 episodes would be enough for you to decide if you want to watch it
For a lot of anime, that's true. But there are plenty where it is enough.
For Death Note i think it's a fine amount. the atmosphere of the first 2
episodes is the same for the rest of the show. Mystery, dark, main character
getting himself into questionable things. If a person isn't enjoying the first 2
episodes, then it's likely they won't enjoy the rest.
Personally, i enjoyed the series the first time because of the mystery and
waiting to see what happens. But rewatching the show is unbearable from
right off the bat in the first ep because it's way too dark and gloomy for my
taste and Light isn't a likeable character to continue watching his journey
Yeah, you are mostly true. Thinking back again, the first 2 episodes does a really good introduction to the series however the mind-games in the rest of the show can be what attracts them to watch the show for some people, so i think watching more would help more about deciding if you want to watch it.
Still trying to like Tokyo Revengers but something is not right for me.
Ive seen the animation it looks like crap for a recent anime like something from 2000
To be honest I don't mind animation at all, I think the problem lies in lacking of interesting traits of main character.
Animation is a big part of me liking a show in the modern era if a show has poor animation that means the company is either cheap or basically out of money meaning the show will be poorly written
It has decent animation, but obviously not as good as Mappa or Ufotable, at first I thought the animation was weird, but not bad. Now I really like it and Tokyo Revengers is coming to be my favorite New gen and is the best airing this season IMO.
Animation is the first thing you look at when watching a show or looking at a cover it looks really poorly designed
Nichijou My Ordinary Life
I paused it recently.
Despite great animation and unique, cute art style, the show itself is pretty boring (and sometimes annoying). It's very good for watching cute girls doing stuff, but as a comedy, it didn't land for me. Maybe I should learn japanese to get like a half of the jokes?
As a huge rom-com guy, I was told this is the one and I would love it. I tried and just had to drag my feet through it. It was just alright
Toradora
Uhh ppl said that it's a best romance show but i'm disappointed :/ i have been watching this for months and i'm still on ep12.

Kono suba, everyone said it was funny, but after episode 4 I officially dropped it, I don't see what's funny at all, literally nothing was happening
Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Come
Do I really need to explain about this dumpster fire? Getting through every episode was a chore, and the characters and either scums or bland, there's no in between( The only decent one is Kachi Shirokusa)After episode 7 I dropped it, I'm done waiting for it to get better
fuckin jojo, the more i tried to make myself like it, the more i came to dislike it
Seraph of the End Vampire Reign
the animation is great and ive seen a lot of fans of it but after watching 2 episodes its just...eh...
edit: ZOMBIE LAND SAGA
forgot about this one. i heard a lot of good things about it, and i did enjoy it at first but i just dont think its for me
Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation
The animation itself is fantastic, but there is not a single likeable character and it really put me off.
Your Lie in April
Violet Evergarden
Those Snow White Notes
Free Iwatobi Swim Club
they all just kinda bored me
you lie in april is tbh pretty slow throughout the middle, i love it because i liked the characters and music.
Those snow white notes had a fucking incredible first episode, decent episode 2 and 3, then fucked itself by becoming a school club anime, shoulda stayed whole shamisen based, although the tournament arc was pretty good but way too long.
free, first and second seasons are kinda mid, did nothing unique and was slow, i didnt mind it but it felt like a drag to get through, although season 3, movies, and starting days are great.
respectfully, your opinion is trash, violet evergarden is amazing
Assassination Classroom
Danganronpa The Animation
The Irregular at Magic High School
these ones were solid but I think I overestimated them
FateZero
VINLAND SAGA
