Makima from Chainsaw Man
In my case, it's Power.
HOW! One of my favorite female characters! Respect your opinion though.
I just find her personality annoying. She's not a bad character. I will admit, I liked the scenes where she brought a cake for Denji and the moment before her death where she didn't give Denji up to Makima.
I respect that. I got really connected to her though, especially because of the relationship that she and Denji have, I find the two perfect for each other. Besides, she's really cute, and, in the Darkness Devil Ark, she gave us a sense of independancy on Denji and a vulnerability I didn't know she had, and I personally really like seeing a character like her break out of her usual act.
I hated Makima. Fake people are literally the worst types. Gave me chills looking at her after the reveal. Great manga!

i think it was originally supposed to be tohru x yuki but then the fans liked kyo more or something like thatspoilers for final season
him and machi dating is cute and all, and i’m glad he’s happy but i just feel like he should’ve ended up alone. not anything personal against him but idk it feels weird

he used to be my favorite character and he is cool, no hate to anyone who likes him

This is gonna be very controversial, but for me that character is Megumin from Konosuba. I can't pinpoint the reason why I hate her, it is just a natural instinct.

demon slayer as a whole for me suffers from characters doing the same thing for 26 episodes and 1 movie syndrome, i swear i don't think i've seen a single scene where zenitsu didn't go from OH IM SCARED to waw im badass, and inosuke going from i'm angry to ???, same thing with konosuba, characters LITERALLY do the same thing for the whole show which is fucking boring
I agree with the criticism on zenitsu 100% but I think inosuke gets a little good stuff done in the movie near the end
i only watched like the first 45 minutes of the movie, saw the same thing, got bored, left it for later, so maybe he gets better idk tho

If you watched 2006 stay night and ubw anime adaption. I totally understand. Shirou is screwed up in the adaptions, but in the VN he is probably the best character in the franchise.

I can't quite put into words exactly why I despise Oden's sheer existence, but it's partially to do with how I felt we (the viewers) were being forced to like him.
Don't get me wrong, I love OP + the Wano arc is top 5 for me, I also recognise how significant Oden is to the plot, but the way he was introduced + just how significant he ended up being, he felt like a self-insert character from some 2-bit fanfic. The guy who kills childs, can take 100 men by himself (before he has the op sword, armor,etc.) goes around the world like he is a victim of his circunstances (even before the eclipse), goes mad and left the band of the hawks cos he spied griffith when he is flirting and say he has no friend just followers besides every time that they rescue him for been an idiot and jump towards the enemy all by himself, i dont like hypocrites and guts is one, but the hate comes more for the toxic guts fans ive meet a long the years (although i would still dislike him)

Let's see... He was born from a corpse and taken in by a band of mercenaries. He had to witness the mother who adopted him succumbing to the plague. Raised on the battlefield by his father who blamed him for his mother's death and sold by him to another mercenary to rape him. Traumatized by this event, he still killed the rapist and some time later, he had to kill his own father after having confirmation that he was the one who sold him to that man and who blamed him for his mother's death. He lived for years alone and still scarred by trauma, having nothing but his sword, knowing nothing but fighting. Fight to survive and survive to fight. Until he makes a great friend, he becomes part of almost a family, something he has never had for most of his life... To find out, after fulfilling a mission assigned by the one he considered to be his greatest friend (in which he accidentally killed a child he identified with), discovering that this friend did not see him as an equal, but as a mere follower who would die for him for not having anything better, for not having a dream... Something that Griffith believed for a long time. He wasn't just flirting, that was his philosophy of life. Guts leaves the band to pursue the dream, to become an equal to Griffith.

Or that time when he fell from the cliff with Caska after trying to save her?
Or that time when he fought 100 men to... You know, save Caska (even though he didn't want to admit to himself that this was what he was doing)?
Because you know, it's complicated if you're posing as a problem with the character that he was an idiot to care about people who were in his care.
Besides, I only remember the time he was reprimanded by Caska for acting alone in battle. But even this time, he didn't exactly need to be rescued. If there's any other time I forgot, remind me.
