I'm not sure if it will be a season, but I hope it will. About your question, I think the probable S3 will be the best out of the three. Gonna be my first Konosuba season watching while it is released.

Honestly have no plans to watch a third season of konosuba after watching the first two and seeing how ridiculously over hyped they are. There are some aspects of the show i like but personally i find Kazuma a useless mc and there is really no tension in the show that keeps me invested it tries to be to comedic and it fails at it which makes it even worse,

  @yashyash Just saw this now and I know its late saying this but still needs to be said,people like you are legit the reason anime fans everywhere get a bad rap your extremely toxic for no reason. Your free to fully disagree with me but legit not only did you change the topic,throwing out personal attacks on someones show preferences is crossing a line and uncalled for. I didn't come at you for the content you like so why you gotta try and sound shady just to be a ****? I cant be expected to have good opinions? Then you clearly can't be expected to have any human denceny. Again it's a late response I know but if you read it Just want to make it clear you are literally whats wrong with the anime community.   dude what a watchlist... idk if you've seen it but you MIGHT like Made in Abyss, great world building, fantasy, amazing visuals, darkest anime out there, fun characters, etc...
  
  While i may not share your opinion about it failing to be comedic i have to respect your watchlist my G, also apparently season 3 would adapt the part where it's supposed to get really good so i suggest sticking around, at least for the 3 episode rule

  I got to episode 6 but dropped it ,will pick it up sometime in the future. I wasn't in a mental space to watch anime at the time to I put it off for a while and decided to drop it and come back to it in the future. I remember finding it really funny but I actually did not find the visuals that stand out from what I remember watching it. I did enjoy the roaming adventure party plot style though going from place to place.

  The anime did Kazuma dirty, to be honest. Kazuma is by no means useless in the LN, but the anime changed certain moments just to make him look stupid.
  
  Hopefully they don't do this with Season 3, because one of his best moments (imo) is set to occur in it. Also, because this moment is set to occur this season, I'd give it a shot, at least.

  @nfitzen I dont think he was useless i just think the show relied to much on dirty comedy to drive the series episode by episode. His team all had their moments to shine and be the hero but they could have really pushed the fight scenes more to make it more impactful and intense.
  
  I had the same issue with How Not To Summon A Demonlord also the fight's where decent but the content got weighed down with all the dirty sexual jokes the show kept throwing in which distracts from the main plot. Also not sure what wording you meant but this post was nearly a year ago so kind of doesn't matter now lol.

  Oh that was really confusing lol. I love dirty comedy dont get me wrong it can be utterly bone cracking hilarious but Konosuba,How Not To Summon A Demonlord shows like that over use the same gags and jokes to the point its not funny and it becomes frustrating.

the fact that they didn't just out and say it's a new season rings my skeptic alarms, so I'm I'm leaning OVA (Maybe ONA?) or perhaps another movie.
