first it was tonari treating fushi like shit then it was fushi getting absolutly demolished at the end of episode 16 without being a challenge at all
edit: i think the second part of my comment is stupid sorry
I was thinking about dropping it from the third episode. But I said to myself that maybe It will become interesting given that the premise is very unique. But now when I want to drop it, I say to myself that those 13-14 eps would be for nothing TwT
same i was gonna drop it around that time as well but i remembered the first time i watched vinland saga i dropped it really early which was a mistake a regretted making, thing is i already gave this show a second chance and this arc has been pissing me off so much but i still decided to watch it and now im hitting the last straw
I mean Tonari lived in an island with bunch of murderers, what she did was understandable and reasonable. But don't worry, she will be better and somehow u will end up liking her. The show is all about Fushi going through pain and grow up, if u hate this kind of anime then just drop. Don't force urself.
is the anime good?
no
the anime isn't bad, if you don't like it get over it and move on

Personally, the art style matters a lot to me, animation too but not as much, however I like this anime a lot because I find both great in it. I also find the characters interesting and I like the way the main character grows. Although I haven't finished it as I'm not ready for the emotional part of the anime, what the show touches is just something I'm more sensitive with.
I think it's just different depending on the person. I personally really enjoy the majority of the characters- I like some more than others but that still didn't stop me from feeling sad for their deaths. I wouldn't say the characters are shitty as I think they are interesting in their own right and not shallow at all so I guess the reason I like this show is because I like the characters so since you don't like the characters then the show clearly isn't for you.
I don't think they are shallow characters.
Cause every character had a dream,
become a good parent, a good brother, propose his/her feelings to the person they love, protect their loved one, etc.
But then, reality kicks in for them, they realize they can never achieve their dream and starts to live their life in sadness, but then an immortal being comes into their life.
They help him grow from a creature to a person, while also them realizing that, not achieving dream doesn't mean end of everything. They still have people they love, people waiting for them in a place & people they want to have a fun time with.
It's nothing great but it's still impactful for me.
I still like this anime, it does what it tries to do, and with an addition of good animation, voice acting and a beautiful Opening, it's a very good anime imo.

I don't think it's a masterpiece, I don't understand how people say something a masterpiece without giving it time to complete.
But I can understand that hype tho.
With a very hyped and strong 2021 Winter season, like AoT Final Season, Mushoku Tenshi, ReZero S2P2, Horimiya, Dr.Stone Wars, Slime S2 and so on(although I haven't seen many of these) many might have thought, nothing can top this season.
But then, with To Your Eternity's impactful episode 1, it's not a big surprise why it was so hyped. Although further episodes aren't that impactful, they delivered to people what they are expecting from this anime.
The hype around To Your Eternity has more to do with it's timing imo, than the actual series. I still think it's very good series tho, it kinda goes down in recent episodes, but still pretty great.
Very unique story, beautiful art style and animation, the characters are all interesting, they each have dreams, you can't help but get attached to them when you learn their story, their deaths have meaning, the op is one of my favorite of all time, overall I'm loving it so far, it's at least an 8/10
First of all, I love immortals being dismembered and reconstituting themselves. So that's a huge draw for me right there.
But the commentary that comes with following the life of an immortal being losing people in horrific and scarring ways is infinitely fascinating to me. And I personally really love all the characters. They all fit in with Fushi's emotional ages at the times that he interacts with each of them (so far at least), so it feels like a visual indicator of his age to help the audience determine his mental state. Plus, idk, I think they're all really endearing in their passions and what they are or aren't willing to do to help another person.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but the philosophical implications of the story are really what get it for me. c:

should i drop fumetsu no anata or keep on paused and watch it later. Currently im in 13 ep its getting too boring and the story is kinda predictable but the first few episode were good the development and all. so idk what to do and tbh idk why ppl made it so hype , i mean its not bad show but in my opinion i dint like it much. what yall think ?
btw the opening is damn i love it :)
