@ArkLur21 For the sake of this thread I will say normie but I do agree with you that it really doesnt matter. Anyone can and should enjoy anime/manga/LNs at their own pace without feeling like there should be labels in regards to that.
I still think its a fun thing to have as a rough idea (like in this forum) but generally labeling things as normie or elitist is a bad mentality.

Yeah most of the obscure media is not suited for everyone. I feel like those kinds of stuff only attracts people with very specific kinds of taste/likings not fit for everyone.

literally what normies call people who actually use 1 to 10 scale and not 5 to 10 scale. they aren't able to comprehend the fact that 5 stands for average on a scale of 1 to 10 since they use 5 for "horrible"
my lowest anime is rated 5 as well, but that's because I drop over 20% of the shows i watch, i don't see why anyone would finish something that's under ~5? it's not like there is a shortage of anime to watch
just because you think 5 is equal to 1 and drop anime, that doesn't mean other people are like you. obviously you don't use 1 to 10 and my 1 equals to your 5. idk whats the point of saying "you have to drop shows if they equal to 1" i personally know of somebody who loves watching all kinds of animebecause she appreciates the time and effort of the people making it
Well the idea is that if it's a 1, it means you hate it.
So the real question is "why spend time on what you're hating"
when you can be spending that same time on what you like?
i use the 10 scale, but rarely have anything below a 5, but for me it's because I think a lot of the shows I've seen that many people would call bad are just mediocre at worst, So there are few shows that I consider actually bad.
exactlyyy, even if i didn't enjoy the show i understand why other people might like it and try to be a little objective, plus it's a lot of work and efforts!

At least from the people I know fate is a very elitistic anime and you gave it a low score, same with vinland but at the same time you got some more popular animes like mha, jujutsu kaisen, naruto etc rated low too. And your high rated animes are animes that are not "normies" but not "elitistic" type of animes.

they're pretty common tbh, but still good regardless, monster is the best one out of these imo, if you don't mind reading manga I'd recommend 20th century boys, made by the same person and imo even better than monster
Yeah i've heard that it is a really good manga, the problem is that as of right now I don't enjoy manga that much so maybe then I'll feel more like it I will read it
