Title
I mean, it's already a pretty dead series imo. Not many people seems to be watching, haven't seen talking about it anywhere much, except for seeing in the corner of some people favorites.
Not really sure what your talking about. Sure it’s always had a smaller English community, but Detective Conan is one of the current top selling IPs in Japan along side with One Piece and Love Live.
Yeah, I get what you mean. It's just I've never really cared about it much. I know that it has many movies and "many episodes(which is basically what holding me back from watching it)", I just forgot these while making the post 4 days ago.
The argument "it has too many episodes" don't make no f sense
It doesn't make sense because as long as you enjoy the show it's just more enjoyment for you if there many episodes. But also it kinda makes sense since ppl usually get bored of super long series and they don't want to go into something they'll lose interest halfway in; especially if they could have watched many other shows instead.
I get why people would be afraid of long series, and I'm one of those
but if you have stayed till half in (we're talking about ca. 500 eps) and you enjoyed it till this point but suddendly not anymore, the time you spent was still worth it, otherwise why would you have watched so many episodes? My advice: if you want to find out if you like the anime or not, just watch the first episode, if you're interested, continue, of not, stop; it's that easy. I watched the first episodes and arcs of op because i was interested and fell in love after the Arlong arc which is the fifth arc and starts at episode 31. Many other op fans also fell in love in this arc.
I have no clue what you mean by its "dead"
In reality, the series is the exact opposite, it really just didn't have that big of a presence inside of western markets.
i just want shincihi to go back to normal ;-;. btw does anyone know how old is conan in the latest episodes?
He's still a first grader, so 6-7 depending on when Conan entered first grade. He's 17 as Shinichi, so most likely 7 like how Haibara is 8 (was 18). Even though there has been multiple summer vacations, Christmas, New Years and Valentine episodes, only technology seems to age <- which I kinda hate because I always loved how old school the series was when it first started. It's unique and would have been interesting to maintain the 90s style it had, but I guess it's difficult for an author to think of 100s of cases with technology which no longer exists and he can't test IRL anymore.
