the most recent anime I dropped was
The Detective Is Already Dead
after ep 3...Not the 'Detective/Mystery' anime I was expecting... And judging by the rating and comments on ep threads, thank god I dropped it.
This anime doesn't deserve the mystery tag because there is no deduction, every fucking thing is "all according to plan". The only thing worth in this anime is Seista's character design (only). Nothing makes sense in this anime, rationally or irrationally.
But, even after my thoughts on this, here I am on the 11th ep, waiting to see how this trashy anime with absurd plot twists end. Because after getting disgusted with it after EP4, I thought that maybe I should complete it rather than dropping.

agreed tbh. i was super disappointed. i thought the first 2 episodes were okay and that at least thered be a romance to fall back on (i like romance that's at least cute) or that itd at least be a fun time, but neither of these were options. this anime chose stupidity and violence against my brain
The relationship between Seista and the MC is actually stupid but is shown to be something complicated. Like, he doesn't even have feelings for her but also cannot live without her, this is ridiculous.
LMAO YEA LATER ITS SO STUPID. like in the first two episodes i didnt mind the dynamic especially in episode two when tehyre basically on a date. like even though that episode was literally useless, i figured that at least their relationship was kinda cute. not to mention, at this point it being episode two, i figured thered be more development around it in later episodes since they didnt even do much in that episode regarding their relationship. i wanted the picture they took together to be some stupid deep moment for later when she died but they fucked that up too. i literally dont care about anyone in this show LOL. no redeeming qualities at all and that most recent episode sucked the most

4 fucking people are 1 person, this anime fucked up the whole concept of 'reality' & 'supernatural', where nobody knows what is being shown in the show.
Feels dead-panned. Read on the ending out of curiosity + had a friend explain the
whole plot. It's a cool concept but after 7 eps, I couldn't do it anymore. Too bored.Fanservice drives me nuts and I hate how the characters are

If I could, I would highly recommend giving ODDTAXI another shot. No obligation of course, it's not for everyone. Personally I found it to be very intriguing despite its relaxed and slow approach to it all. [ Episode 4 was a pretty solid story all on its own ]
Well as pointed out, i know the whole story already. Pretty much just to quell my curiosity.
But yeah, its nice of you to suggest this, but i'm really not into it. Everything felt too mundane
despite the crazy events and I couldn't handle it. Plus I watched 7 episodes already and so
far, i didn't like any of them T^TFair enough. And yeah, knowing the whole plot ahead of time does take a lot of the story away. Sorry to see that it was not to your liking, but I respect your decision.
This is the most recent i dropped, i didn't like the pace and the narrative style, everything was a setting for the next "sakamoto is a deity" gag, it was funny the first three times but it quickly became too repetitive for me

Came here expecting parallel paradise 2.0, instead, all I got was a wasted 10/10 fan service premise with a story that put me to sleep.I'm guessing it tried to pull a Bunny Girl Senpai with fan service bait, but actual good story, but it failed pretty hard.
Clear bait that this was meant for the Fujoshis , didn't like the characters and it didn't seem like it was going anywhere

It's very slow in the start, but the pacing and the story gets better later
I feel like I'm the only one who thinks the first half is very well paced, with little to no filler. And that the pacing of the latter half doesn't change. It's just consistent imo.

Edit: A few very important arcs are shown through slideshow(Imagine Frieza/Namekusei arc being told in a 30 second slideshow).
Stick to the amazing first season and either read the manga or headcanon your own ending.
Although it's only my opinion, it seems to be shared with a lot of the community.
It's the most "ok" anime i've ever watched, the only standing point i can see is the animation, people clearly overhyped it, the only reason i even started to watched it was because people keep calling it a masterpiece and best new gen shounen, how dissapointing

Yeah JJK is overhyped and carried by the animation honestly. Same thing for demon slayer in my opinion.

I just can't stand the main character, he's a plain asshole and I find there isn't anything I can sympathize with him about or find like-able about. Probably has something to do with working for a guy like him IRL tbh.
I think that is what makes the character so interesting. The MC being an asshole leads to a lot of hilarious interactions between him and the main cast. I also find the main cast very funny even without them interacting with him.

I wouldn't say that mean or rude characters are always unlikable but this character feels intentionally malicious and pompous just because he has some hairbrained idea that's almost obvious to backfire and treats anyone and everyone like they're a turd on the sidewalk. I'm glad you're able to enjoy the show but I just can't see any humour in it and I can't find anything but contempt for the MC - if he was the antagonist he'd be great but as the protagonist, not for me!
